I have a U.S. spec '77 308 GTB. Non catalyst. Looking for recommendations for a replacement muffler. What system has an acceptable noise level for long (2-3 hour) drives?

I would NOT recommend the Nouvalari Super Sport version. It's super loud and unrefined. And it had to be cut and re-welded to fit.

I have the quiet version of the tubi style exhaust on my 308. It's very mild and my wife doesn't complain about it like she does some of my other cars

ANSA still makes the FE2020 to order, but ii is NOT stainless steel.

One of members used the Mille Miglia brand out of Australia?? and had a better lasting OEM sound.
Tubi and Stebro are known to be "harsh"

Quciksilver was also a well made unit IMO

14 months ago, I contacted the US rep for Nouvalari and requested a dual cat muffler for my 1978 GTB. I wanted it louder than the factory boiler "but not too loud", and he said they'd put more baffles in it. I also requested a 45 degree cut on the muffler tips because they look more aggressive. He said they could also do that. The muffler was received from the UK in 3 weeks, cost only $1,900 including shipping, and was/is a perfect fit, and is beautifully constructed.

I'm not trying to step on toes but what's the problem?

Both the Superformance Exhaust and the Nouvalari are made by the same company in England. They are made by PD Gough https://www.pdgough.com/

I dealt with them directly and their service was absolutely superb. I wanted a few custom details that they were happy to oblige and made me a perfect fit exhaust. I could not recommend them enough.

It's good to see something changed because I had the same experience having to cut and weld to make one fit. That was more than 10 years ago however.
