The insurance code here in Europe prohibits having a racing number on a road car, except for individual arrangements.

WAG here but ~30% premium over comparably speccd 296 would be reasonable. Anything significantly more just wouldn’t make sense. Not now.

I assume you mean MSRP....our Pista was $420.....it recently sold on BAT (for the second time) for $550k. PISTA prices and Speciale prices are in the mid $500s. Thus, if the 296 S is in the mid $500s...that makes sense.

I would expect what would be reasonable is a base price of 450K for the coupe and with options layered on a well spec'd MSRP of high 500s or 600K. Getting into 600s or low 700s is too much.

a poverty spec 296 Speciale (CF sills, Challenge Grille, non $$$$ paint etc. should be around $500. If its in the $600s or more, that is over priced. Full stop.

Which seats are people going for? I feel like since the best weight are offered, those make sense, and the others you can get in almost any car, but they are stunning seats. The best weight aren't nearly as pretty, but then I hear they are much more comfortable.

If I get to spec one, I'll do Daytonas, but just because I'm a sucker for that style. I can't pass them up.

All of the seats seem cool to me, so I don't think you can go wrong. Those best weight seats do seem the most special though, like you say.

30%? I got my relatively expensive 296 for $385k. Most people I know got them for around 350k (maybe used under 1000km, I'm not sure). We're talking about almost double for the Speciale.

Personally I'm aiming for a 525k spec. Above that and I'd have to reconsider.

There are apparently a number of stripe options but only available on the dealer configurator, not the web configurator yet. It may be that the double stripe with the number is unique 296 Speciale version though and the other stripes can be on other cars too, not sure if that's accurate.

I've seen his account - prefer colored carbon with historical colors.
296 is little - paint schemes are tough to show the car itself.
I start with interior - cf makes an exotic- imo.

I think that's right but $100k in options is light CF and triple layer paint. Add in carbon wheels and anything TM it's $700.

That's the thing with this car. If you tick all of the CF boxes, there isn't much left to decide.

Race seats are more special - TM / Atelier lot of options.

Does VS coupe have rear window between seats drop down glass - in 296GTS makes driving a lot more fun.

may be i'm overthinking it but ferrari would never do that in the coupe. that's the spider's party piece. it makes a difference with the window down. i prefer the roof up with window down.

Oddly enough, I preferred my sf90 spider roof up. Better sound from the hot tubes.

For any spider/roadster that I've ever owned, regardless of Ferrari or Lamborghini, I'm the same way. For the plebs like me that were *only* offered the Speciale coupe...I would pay a premium if this were an option on the coupe, as I would assume it doesn't take much to make this happen mechanically and most likely wouldn't affect the long term value of the Aperta, since that's mostly based on scarcity and the benefit of having an open top experience that a coupe can't deliver.
