well, finally sourced the wheels. Now I will have them restored. Have to say, all of the information provided on this thread is greatly appreciated and will be put to good use. Ken, can you point me in the right direction for a place to purchase the correct OEM Ferrari center caps and correct speedline stickers? regarding the 3 sticker options, I think I want to go with number 1. The simple black "speedline" Image Unavailable, Please Login
I would say so... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login My silver wheels have the valve stems opposite speedline... We don't put valve caps on either so techs can check tire pressures quickly when we pit in... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Get the car first. Chances are it already has the period correct caps. Someone is working in decals based on original decals I provided. They’re option #1 and #2.
I do have the car. Just figured I might get an extra set of caps. Please let me know about the details as soon as the info is available. Thanks
Not the end of the world, but it’s nice to get it all lined up correctly as intended. I slapped on the original Speedline decals 12 years ago. I didn’t any know better. But the stickers are original, so I’m hesitant to pull em off and correct it. Don’t make the same rookie mistakes I made .
Ken, I'm convinced that the workers at speedline would occasionally apply decals on different spokes. My silver wheels were early production for the F355 Challenge. Perhaps some form of convention came later.
Here’s a car in need of your wheels. Beware of aluminum Speedline repros, which are heavier than stock wheels! https://sbraceengineering.co.uk/vehicle-sales/1997-ferrari-f355-challenge/ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Perhaps at some point your wheels had new decals applied. The letters in “Speedline” sit very closely.
Shoot! Just checked my wheels.. My rears are +68 !! Fronts are +49 No wonder my rears look aggressive with 15mm spacers.
My car has a well-documented history since it was raced by Peter Sachs in 1995 and 1996. It came to me in 2012 with three sets of wheels; white, silver and black. The white wheels are still white. The black wheels were blue in 1996... Image Unavailable, Please Login One day I'll have them repainted blue. The silver wheels have been detailed several times prior to my ownership and the decals are rubbing out a bit. I don't care about patina on my car and I don't bother having my wheels detailed. The silver wheels are original as supplied with the car in 1995. The only decals I've applied to them are the number 37 decals as there are five other F355 Challenge cars with me at Pocono Sportscar.

One thing you can do is compare the Speedline decal between your white wheels and silver wheels. However, every Speedline wheel I’ve seen from the mid 90’s show tight lettering of “Speedline.”
