I've read numerous posts regarding Novitec springs with mixed reviews but most refer to tracking performance. I'm wondering what other if any other available springs can deliver near factory ride for normal street driving. I don't track the car and drive roughly 500 miles a year. Would love to have the stance but not willing to sacrifice too much of the factory ride. Any suggestions?

Looks good considering it's still factory and definitely better than my 4x4 look. Did you do it yourself and could it go any lower?

Lowering plus spacers (11 and 17mm) improved the stance quite a bit.

I initially took it to the dealership, but they had never lowered a 296, so I took it to my trusted independent. He told me 5mm was as low as it would go in the front. I could have dropped it more in the rear, but I wanted to preserve the factory rake.

So I took the car to a friend's shop who was able to lower the front but couldn't get the rear done as the lock nuts were super tight and didn't want to break loose and he didn't want to apply too much force and cause damage. Can you ask the shop you took it to if there was any sort trick to it or did he just use as much force as necessary to loosen them up.
