Interesting to see 0202 A with the post crash body in the form of a '340 Mexico envelope body' (spyder).

Race number of winner John von Neumann was 107 (see last photo). AFAIK the 1° Annual Luther Burbank Rose Festival / Sports Car Road Races were on June 14 & 15.
Bob Kelsey drove in race 7 (DNF). Cavallino 210 page 39 shows also 0438 MD in that race (perhaps Josie von Neumann?)

Yes, I'm continuing the adventure, but only with thumbnails now. By creating this thread, I just wanted to share all the photo treasures I've accumulated over the years. If you'd prefer me to close the thread, let me know.
Favera's accident was bad. He hit a house and the car was split in 2. In this photo the front half of the car is in the field towards the top of the photo. Image Unavailable, Please Login
A good reason for this thread is we go sequentially through a calendar year and it will likely reveal races or events that are new to many people. It also helps fill any gaps that people may have.
In the more old photos thread, there was a controversy about copyrights. Very difficult to credit photos since most of its come from the web. For example, for Parma-Poggio di Berceto : #182 was for sale on ebay #202 online auction #204 ebay #206 Instagram #208 1955 Ferrari Yearbook #210 Automobilia Ladenburg Who took these photos ? Who owns them ?
No one owns them. If you post one of your photos online, you lose control of it and must accept it. Otherwise, keep them in your vault. And many of the photos found online have been posted hundreds of times on other blogs and forums. I'm not even talking about the many photos taken from the Internet and sold on eBay.
And aren't photos supposed to fall into the public domain after 70 years ? I read conflicting things on the subject.
in Austria / Europe we have 70 years BUT not when the picture has been taken 70 years after the death of the photographer Louis Klemantaski died 2001 ..... for me it is a big difference if you show a complete picture in full size or you cut it, like you do, and show only a part in low resolution
