They were working this weekend and now they’re not. I have a sense I blew a fuse because I was replacing the previously installed aftermarket headunit.

The fuse box diagram does not mention the power mirror controller. Anyone have a sense which fuse number I should try before I go through them all individually?

    Thanks much,

Fuse 22? Turn lights, reverse lights, "outer mirrors".

I guess if the other things are working, the fuse is ok.

Check for power on pin 2.

    Probably a green wire.

Or are you talking about the M car?

Look for the key-services fuse in the smaller fusebox behind the main relay panel.

If that was blown, the column light switch wouldn't work (amongst lots of other things)... radio, driver's and passenger's seat controls, fuel lid release...

Thanks for the info. Yes it is for a 456M. I checked the smaller fuses — all good. I then rechecked with volt meter various wire taps and found a loose one. Radio working now along with power mirror switch. Prior owner must have used a common accessory on wire between the two.

Now I have sort out why the hvac system seems to work fine when that wire is disconnected, but then has a mind of its own when it’s connected and the headlights are on.

if anyone has thoughts I’m all ears.

Also when I was in the main fuse box I found a disconnected plug. It did look though like it had no home and did seem to go to anything. Anyone know what it might be for?

There is an empty slot on the fuse panel but the plug doesn’t reach and I don’t think it would plug in if it did.

That's relay panel plug H... which is unused. I'm not sure what the white plug is yet. I'll check the wiring diagrams.

Sorry, no ideas at the moment. I think I need a photo of the "wire tap" showing wire colours and location.

I think it's an engine signals connector. AFAIK, it's unused. The wiring diagrams show these colours/functions:

    grey/yellow: vehicle speed data
    brown/black: tacho data
    black: ground
green: may be key power, but the diagrams show a yellow wire.

    Correction... white/yellow

Can you clarify... "mind of its own"?

Those fuse boards are also used in 550 and 512TR. Not the same internal diagrams.
The internal connections of those 4 pins are as followed

So not in use on 456GT or 456M
