2023 Vantage V-12 coupe are appealing now that the 2025 Vantage are in sufficient supply.

IS IT the last production A-M V-12 ?

Other than massive depreciation, what else could I be venturing into blindly?

The 2025 Vanquish has an all new AM V-12 engine, no?

IIRC, the putting the V12 in the 23 vantage somehow did not improve the performance over the V8…

Yes, the Vanquish has a new AM V-12 but the price with options is near $500K. Could they fit than engine in the Vantage? Not sure they would since they have their Vantage based limited run cars (Valient and Valor) running a V12 and those cars have a $1M price tag.

It looks like the 2023 Vantage V12 has hit the bottom of its depreciation curve. It is only marginal quicker than a same year V8 Vantage but the sound is glorious and it is a unique and limited series car. I own the V8 version and it's a wonderful car. The car is highly spec dependent, so look everywhere for something you might like.

    Good luck deciding.

There's a lot more to having an AM V12 besides comparative performance numbers (ask me how I know!). Little doubt the V8 car does everything well...but the V12 is pure theater! It's the one to get for keeps...

Thank you, Gentlemen. Yes, the new Vanquish has V-12 but as you've mentioned, but near $500K.
Seems the limited run of 2023 Vantage V-12's have sorta hit bottom on initial depreciation, with current sales of them (what few sales there are) running from about 240-310K.
Do tend to keep the cars I buy, so looking at it for a long term ownership. What I need to find out is how much - if any - new car warranty may remain on a 50-800 mile example. If none, then the purchase is more daunting.
I'm getting up in years, and already have several NSXs to choose from. Now looking for more of a GT sports car - something with a trunk that can be utilized for weekend/7 day road trips.
I'd appreciate further input from the FChat braintrust.

Yes, glad you mentioned this as it affirms what I've noted. A fairly bizarre paint/interior combo was recently listed F S on B a T, and as I recall did not meet reserve.

Also, any owner with experience with the optional racing seats? I'm head over heels in love with the racing seats but do wonder........... are they comfortable and snug? Or hard as rocks?

In that price range and for the requirements you listed I’d recommend an F12. A lot more car than the 2023 V12 Vantage.

If I was choosing an Aston, I’d go (in no particular order) DBS Superleggera, DBS (Casino royale), or V12 Vantage S (7-speed manual). Any of those before the 2023 V12 Vantage.

The biggest problem with the 2023 V12 Vantage is that the 2024 Vantage is much improved inside and out (minus the V12 engine). And the prior generation is becoming a bit of a modern classic. So the 23 car is sandwiched between two better cars, usually that doesn’t bode well for values. Just look at the 599 GTB, sandwiched between the 550 and F12 (and overshadowed by both).

The racing seats look great but they are a bit of a hassle to get in and out. No firsthand experience other than sitting in them at the dealer. They're very comfortable once you get in. The sport plus seats are super comfortable and give great support - see photo.

The 2023 cars (and older) are eligible for a Timeless extended warranty thru Aston. It just under $5k per year.

I agree about pure theater. I had Exotic Autosport install VAP headers / cats / exhaust on my Vanquish Volante. It's not the same car anymore. Have a listen.

I do hate that they depreciate so quickly, but then again, I was able to buy at rock bottom, and not looking to liquidate any time soon (aka never).

If you are going to use the car up on road trips, it might be worth considering a highly depreciated DB9 or Rapide. A low mileage creampuff. Lots of great cars out there for low money...

Thanks, J-R, keep comments coming. Rapide is out- hated them at their intro and ever since - they appear a whale. DB9 has back seats, no? I love the DBS/DBS Superleggera models but not much use for those two rear "midget seats."
I'm seriously torn. And maybe that's a good thing to be at this point. No hurry.
As the months pass there will be more and more lightly used 2025 Vantages listed I think..... all the new model Vantage improvements and some warranty time remaining on them.

yes the db9 usually has two small (and generally unusable for adults) back seats. It could be configured as 2 + 0 with a small area with no true function.
Also, am sending you a DM
