Can anybody explain how to disconnect the plug on the back of the a/c control switches? I want to remove the surround so I can respray it with Plastidip but the connector has me baffled. It's a big yellow thing with what looks like a metal clip in the center, but I can't pull the panel out far enough to get a good look at it. I'm not even sure it comes apart; it could be that the connector is on the other end of the wiring harness somewhere. I resprayed all other sticky plastics and they look fantastic.

This is my first post so I apologize if the subject has been done to death. Thanks in advance.

Be careful with Plastidip--It will flake off sooner or later...Anything you spray with it that you touch will start to peel off...

Use a small screwdriver to lift the black portion of the yellow plug outward about 1/2", until it stops, then use it as a handle to pull the plug out of the socket. It's easy.
