Didn't know there was a Eugene Spotters Thread! I live in Portland but I wouldn't mind coming down when the weather gets better. Anyone up for a drive? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Going to NCAA Track & Field? Haven't been to the new Hayward Field. Was at the old Hayward Field in 1976 for the Olympic Trials.
Normally I’d say pretty slim Rob, but you might get lucky with the NCAA’s in town. I live in PDX, but have been coming to Eugene for work for the past 12 years. In that time I’ve seen exactly one Fcar: a stunning Blue Sera testarossa. - Dave
If you have an hour or two, call Vintage Underground and go visit them-- they have some cool stuff: https://www.vintageunderground.com/ If you tell them who you are, I'm sure they would be happy to show you around. One of the owners of Vintage Underground has a massive, quite amazing car collection including a number of Ferraris, but a large number of other random stuff as well. You can see some of his stuff here: https://www.instagram.com/hauglandcollection/ If you really want to blow your mind, go visit the Brothers Collection in Salem (between Eugene and Portland)... but they aren't really open to the public, so you would have to get lucky on a tour day: https://thebrotherscollection.com/ EDIT: Actually, if you have a few hours, send an email to Brothers Collection and see if they might show you around. For all I know, they are probably F-Chat users.
we’re having a great trip so far, but actually the girls are enjoying the racing more than we expected, so last night instead of just watching 1500 and Steeple, they stayed the entire 4 hours! Lin and I left to walk around hit Wild Duck. Mia getting her own workouts in Pre Trail mornings and today we’re going to Diamond Creek Falls before more NCCA’s tonight.
That's great. The trails were brand new when I was there in '76. Being an avid runner at the time it was pretty cool running the trails and watching some of the worlds best at the trials.
This Porsche by Autzen stadium has been the best thing I’ve seen. Bunches of cool 60-70’s trucks around. Image Unavailable, Please Login
