This is an unusual one. ’76 Lancia Beta Montecarlo fitted with Alfa Romeo V6 3.0 engine and with non-standard Compomotive wheels, rear lights and badging at Brooklands, May 2025. According to age, this would be a Series 1 example, but Series 2 features such as the non-solid buttresses and revised front grille are evident. http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/11/i-am-the-alfa-the-beta-the-o-mega-martin/ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

This Lancia was upgraded by Paul M. The first MC V6 conversion, about half the car's lifetime ago. The supercharger was added later.

That's a serious modification! I'd love to see that on Harry's Garage.

I wish I had been able to fit in one back in the day. Same problem with the Miura and that was when they were still cheap!
I bought a Bora instead, great cat and I had lots of fun which I suppose is all that really maters. Absolute crap investment by comparison ... ah well.

I am not making any predictions at this point. I cannot believe Dino prices are so much more than Boxer prices. Hindsight, also would have wanted to buy multiple Stratos and Integrale machines.

The number and quality of the Montecarlos seen at the annual AutoItalia show at Brooklands is consistently good. The Series 1 Kermit is a favourite and always presented very well. Also seen at the show last month was the familiar 'matching' Series 2 pair - you tend to do a double take the first time you clap your eyes on them! The last two shown here demonstrate how good a Tipo 137 can look in a dark colour. Here's more on the Montecarlo. Nice to see this thread has been revived in 2025. Here are a few pics of mine. The red one is the one I wrote about earlier in this thread -- 1977, 2.0 liter, 5th gear modification, Weber 34 DATR, ANSA, etc. Still enjoying this car, now fifteen years into ownership. Always a treat.

The green car I acquired in 2022. San Diego car its whole life, rare period color, 26K miles, incredibly original, full history, and purchased from its original owner - an unrepeatable find. It had sat in the owner's garage not running since around 2001. In 2024, I completed a thorough renewal of the car's mechanical systems, returning it to the road after more than twenty years. Picture taken at EyesOn Design in Detroit, 2024.

Third picture is a trio of Scorpions at the European Auto Show at Ursuline College in Cleveland, 2023. Mine is the one on the right; the red one in the middle drove from western Michigan, and the aqua colored one from Cuyahoga Falls.
