"The Piloti Ferrari 296 Speciale is offered in four racing-inspired colours: Rosso Scuderia, Blu Tour De France, Nero Daytona, and Argento Nürburgring. " Looking forward to see the livery on Blu TDF and Argento NB though.
This seems like an incredible marketing exercise from Ferrari....add some livery and charge a whole lot more: profit. That being said this does look good and definitely does add something over the "standard" 296 Speciale.
Yeah, surprised they used what were basically no extra charge/standard range colors just a few years ago.
I don't understand why the Pista Piloti command a premium as well. Apart from the carbon rear spoiler in CF, it was nothing special.
I'm lovin' it! (/s) In all seriousness, I like the design but not the colors. I lowkey wish the 499p wasn't so successful in this livery so we wouldn't have all those road cars with the same livery and colors.
Makes zero sense. Pista Piloti paint scheme was ugly. This is as bad. A simple stripe is perfect. But I’ve given up trying to predict values I’m terrible at it
Ive been working on spec. Thinking Bianco Fuji with blue carbon wheels. But maybe black carbon otherwise with blue electricco Dreamlines and livery stripes?
If they were stickers they would be expensive , as they are not you get why there charge that for stripes of any description
Pista piloti stripes were decals, not painted under clear-coat like normal factory stripes. Not sure what will be the case for this one, I think for SF90XX the WEC livery was a paint, not decal, but not 100% sure on that.
Saw this car. Went with blue carbon on XX - hard to see on lower parts inside but outside it pops. https://www.instagram.com/p/DK3BMxwN1QF/?img_index=1
Bianco Fuji would look great on the XX/ or are we discussing Speciale?. In either case, Im not entirely sold on pairing it with blue details though, as Fuji sometimes will come off as a very light champagne color. If I were looking for a contrast stripe for Fuji, I think Id look for something that compliments its inherent warmth. Just off the cuff, how about Canna Di Fucile or Grigio Ferro. Both will play really nice with the standard carbon and if you want dream lines you could do them in Bianco Fuji. You could do the calipers in either black or I forget what they call it, but it’s basically dark grey which will play well with all of this. Interior in black or dark grey, you could do the horses on the headrests in white, either white white, or something like Grigio Chiaro. An alternative with blue would be to go with Bianco Italia, which is a more silvery white, which reads cooler/ more blue. This would look great with Blu Elettrico stripes, carbon in blue. Blu wheels means you could do blue calipers. Inside you could do either blue or grey or mix it up a little. Same kind of stitch colors as above. This is really all personal opinion, Im just hoping to help you narrow it down a bit, no matter what you do, you’re designing a dream car, enjoy the process to the fullest!
no one cares about the reality, it's all just about rarity of numbers for investment purposes a Piloti sold for 900k usd
Completely agree with this. A more 'crisp' white color like Bianco Italia would, in my personal opinion, go better with blue carbon parts or accents than Bianco Fuji. Found an outside picture of the Pista Spider linked by Cocoloco which really highlights how much it pops in contrast to Bianco Italia. Personally I'd go for Bianco Avus, but I guess some might find that a bit boring. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Friend offered me his 488P 50k below msrp - no one was buying it even with delivery miles after delivery. Declined which was a mistake not for the profit but exclusivity. Hyper club and Challenge guys get paid once again - recover racing costs by receiving special models, well deserved. I've read there are engineering improvements tires lighter glass - not sure this is true. Viper offered a GTS-R package and other limited paint themes - people who chose special one off one made less ROI than limited paint editions that sold for a premium. It's not about the looks, it's about the story the car tells. Porsche same with PTS and vinyl stickers - to each his own
everybody’s opinions are very helpful! I love the white/blue thing and I think I’ve got myself stuck on Fuji as it was the first pearl white Ferrari I saw growing up. Italia would clearly be great Bianco Onda Marina Is totally in the list - I wonder if it’s a 50k color or one of the REALLY crazy option - not a deal breaker just want to be prepared for the hit. Bianco tartan maybe?
