hello to all: I am restauring a 550 . It is a 1999 USA car. Thus, has the fuel temperature sensor. I bougt an Euro tank which does not uses a Temp sensor…. Thus my question…. Can I extend the wire loom of the fuerl temperature sensor and install on the drain plug?
Reason I ask is because on the Euro tank there is no hole for the Temp sensor. Thus, with an adapter, I can install the temp sensor on the drain hole….
OR…. can I leave sensor not connected and do not install the sensor?

    Any thoughts?

How does the fuel cooling system work with the HVAC to cool the fuel? USA cars have that system so perhaps that's why there is a fuel temp sensor? All I know is if that sustem is not working you do get a FCS light on the display but it does not effect the running of the car.
