50 Ferrari takes the LEAD!!!
21 hours to go. Leader is the 6, then the 83, then the 50. the 6 and the 83 stop. the 6 comes out behind the 50 by 1.8s.
According to the commentary on Belgian TV, there is a sort of “plague” of mosquitoes this year in Le Mans and the surrounding area. It appears to be a serious problem for the drivers’ visibility.
I am surprised by how few retirements there have been. Sure seems like Ferrari removed the sandbags for the race...and put them in the Cadillacs
Anything can still happen, but all the Ferrari prototypes look amazing in race trim. Porsche is still in this, but they're going to need some serious luck. Say what you will about Ferrari's F1 program, but their Le Mans program has been as good as Audi's start. Frankly, as a racing brand, I'd rather win Le Mans than the F1 titles, because F1 is becoming more and more spec.
You can stop now. F1 has at least 4 threads for the lead up. I started another race details thread. So what? Does this really affect anything? now... Picking this up with 5 hours to go. 51 in the lead, spins coming into the pits. 3 ferraris in the top 4.
4:10 left 8 doesn't fasten a wheel nut, blows tire just out of the pits, is limping all the way around. Ferrari 1-2-3 with 4 hours to go.
I have stayed up 24hrs in the past or close to it. I can't do that these days but I'm back in my little room i set up watching the last 3:30hrs. I watched all the race up till midnight here in Tampa. Forza Ferrari!!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
tom says you have to post everything about the race in the other thread.... IDEC sport loses a wheel and seems to have sheared the hub. They're out from 3rd in LMP2. sjd
