I hate the fish lip side of the Corvette but if the steering felt better and traction control was Ferrari/McLaren level (it isn't) I'd consider Z06 over 296. Z06 is still a hell of a deal and pile of engineering. For me the ZR1 seems to be reportedly tail happy and similar in steering, I don't need more speed, and the E-Ray didn't feel monstrously full of traction or as nimble as Z06 so not sure I have ZR1X lust. Especially not if it does the same artificial robot sound when the E drive is on as the E-Ray. But again all of the C8s seem amazing given the source (and price) so congrats to Chevy and the people that like them.

No doubt. I understand cars better than I understand people. Cars are just so much easier to understand
I confess that I'm quite impatient to see what the sales level of 296 M will be, after the current issue of the 296 concerning its loss of value. It is an unprecedented context.
I'm in this boat as well. For every potential buyer concerned with loss of value and decides to opt out, there'll be 5 people who just want to spec their first Ferrari, or buys the car for any other reason
Care to do some math - Buy 296 spend 500k - 2 years lose 6% on money 60k Taxes 45k Ins 6k x 2 = 12 K total 57k Lost on sale 125k being kind = 242k after 2 years which means you could have. a ZR for free. Please tell me how you do math differently - cut insurance and taxes in half - you still have a free ZR1. Yes Vette depreciates but at the price of Ferrari the "real" depreciation" is far greater. We all get it, let's hope this wakes up Ferrari and Lambo is no better - the two of them need to realize we want performance to be competitive when buying 42k paint
I am not finding one bad angle on the speciale. Looks so much better than the regular GTB/GTS. The front end for me is where the biggest improvement is. GTB/GTS look a too tame. it's similar in transformation from a 458 to a 458 Speciale. Can't wait to see the car in person. Anyone know why Lambo Temerario deliveries haven't happened yet? Haven't even heard of any press reviews either.
Do you think Ferrari has learned its lesson? And if so, exactly what is that? All regular production front mid-engine 12 cylinder cars depreciate significantly. I would argue that 458 at one point had a 40% depreciation prior to covid in the US. 458s could be had b/w $150K-190K. My former 458 pre-covid was a 40% depreciation. The challenge now is that the pricing have gone up so significantly that a 40% hit from a $ value is much higher.
Really? The 'floating aerofoil' of the nose looks off, and the winglets of the rear fenders just look unfinished - they need to put a solid wing between there. 5 minute Photoshops to show a possible CF wing, and what it could have looked like with lower lip that reached the fenders: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Temerario was supposed to start for Fall deliveries, what I was told and the launch event here. Surprisingly, they said there are no convertible plans yet because of the position of the engine and turbos. The thought was it might end up being a targa of some sort. No reviews yet but I saw an influencer YT video of a few 'warm' laps following a factory driver.
Yeah, what’s up with the Temerario? I just don’t see any of my circle of car guys ordering it. Zero, zilch, none. I’ve owned three Huracans in the past and currently own a Sterrato. I love those cars. I’m very much on the fence in regard to the Temerario. It looks cool. I actually like it better looks-wise compared to Revuelto. I’m just not excited about that car. Anyone here on the forum have an order in for it.
Just milking the cow. I am afraid they will "overmilked" it. That being said, in my humble opinion, yet to see if car deserve a speciale in it's name, But, to my eyes, so much nicer that 296gtb. Should have look like this from the beginning.
I just looked at the online configurator for the Speciale A, and there’s a new option for a CF engine bay cover. Has 3 vents in it, kinda cool.
@George330 the question you pose is the one I face... I love the 296S and asked my SA about allocation. He said I can get a 296S allocation if I buy an abandoned, new, untitled TM 296GTS or TM SF90 Spider they are sitting on. Texted the GM of a local dealer I know this afternoon about ZR1X after the announcement. He straight up said he's trying to get his first ZR1 built for a customer but I could be #1 on list for ZR1X. That's quite a difference in response and committed $$$. For sure they are two different brands and two very different cars. But the engineering and appeal of the ZR1 and ZR1X is undeniable. See all the others I have quoted and liked!!!
We 'll have to wait and see what it does in practise against the SF90, but the fact that its V8 makes more power is just because it is larger.
Hagerty raced the SF90 and ZR1 won handily. Car and Driver tested both and ZR1 was quick through the 1/4 with a high trap speed.
