It did improve the sound in the sense that the valve is always open, even on throttle lift. It’s never adding to the loudest part of the volume, but yes, it helps. I didn’t experience a cel, but I wouldn’t be surprised if It happens.
Beween idle to 3k RPM is it noticeably louder and made the over run more noticeable on lift off? I am waiting until annual service to get it valve controller installed. I like to drive fast within reasons and not looking like trying too hard or offend others, so not increasing volume above 3k RPM is fine, I find stock sound above 3k RPM once valve opens actually acceptable for me. Just below 3k RPM at slow cruising speed when valve is closed, it is quite bad
Yes, it solves all of that. I had a Pista and it had the same annoying valve action. Loud-soft-loud grows tiring.
