Can be fixed for $10-12k aftermarket, and that supposedly actually fixes the problems instead of just giving you another PTU that might break. My FF is going strong on original PTU after 40.5k miles.

Reviving an older thread. I am currently looking at options (pre-owned naturally), and wondering if anyone is comfortable providing more recent purchase experiences.

Depending on Lusso V12 vs T, and even within the same engine, there is somewhat wide price variability over the last few months, with a fair number of the vehicles remaining on the market 3-6 months later. Of course mileage, options, colors probably all playing a role.

I'm sure like many of you, we try to wait for the "right" vehicle... But I know I probably can't wait for perfect model esp in pre-owned marketplace .

Personally after driving both, I'm comfortable with a T or V12, and probably would take the T only because I know my driving habits for most of the time. But the T variants are frequently less well optioned compared the V12 versions.
Hard to find a 2019+ (versions with adaptive cruise) T model with pano, sound, seats, and smartphone interface, and a somewhat conservative color scheme if you will.

    Appreciate the forum advice.

I'm sure you are on top of this, but https://www.classic.com/m/ferrari/gtc4lusso/v12/ and https://www.classic.com/m/ferrari/gtc4lusso/t/ will send you a daily update of almost any new car that comes up. I watch the V12 market, and I may be seeing what I want to see (as an owner) but it seems that prices have flattened/bid up a bit. It may be that more cars are just being listed (hence have a premium to what they will actually trade for) but my logic was "there is a floor under any Ferrari with the same engine as an Enzo, and it is not far from $170K I paid..." I am less sure of the floor under any T.

Navstar. I went with the T, I had always admired the FF and after driving a Lusso (T) at Amelia island in 2024 decided to explore the options. I was fortunate to come across a fellow member here , Stuart Lawley (who unfortunately passed away recently), who had 2 Lusso's, I drove one of his V12's. The PTU issue did not excite me, especially when you understand it is a design flaw that inevitably does break. I looked at every Lusso on the market for weeks and weeks, and came to the realization that no 2 are the same and there are soooo many options (most of which I wanted). I have a couple of well specd Audis and wanted the same creature comforts. I eventually found a car on the other side of the country, in San Francisco while I am in S. Florida. I purchased from a Ferrari dealer although I considered all options, I got a 2 year Ferrari warranty and the car had 2 years of the 7 service remaining, plus it had 5,000 miles which for a 2019 was pretty low. MSRP was $362 so it had a lot of options, including all the tech stuff etc. Avus white with burgundy interior. It is not my daily driver but we have put over 4,000 miles on it in short order, 3 digit speeds are so easy and relaxed. It is a wonderful machine, my first F car, and I could not recommend it enough. If you find one we have a WhatsApp group just for Lusso owners, guys all over the country.

Steve, Count me in on the Lusso WhatsApp! Can you send details? (2019 V12). Thanks, and glad you got it and are using it!

SteveT and LittleEnzo - appreciate the advice. The classic.com website is definitely very help to balance expectations, though if I understand correctly, it's not able to provide dealer sales transaction price; only the last known listing price. Let me know if that's inaccurate.
It's also true, I've noticed no two are the same. The advantage of a small production car where all vehicles were custom ordered.
Despite the now lower cost PTU repair options, we all know the stresses associated with such repairs. This is likely why I'm open to the right spec, and more than one engine.
I also agree the pricing floor is somewhere in this range, but of course over a long enough timeline, they are destined to depreciate a bit more. I think it's been a challenge more so that from dealer to dealer, there remains fair bit of variation, and it's always a bit anxiety inducing to make a purchase on a vehicle sight-unseen! The warranty probably adds piece of mind in that regard.

Steve27t, I dont think my post count allows for DM at present, but would be happy to hear your experience separately when time allows. I'm also looking weekly, waiting for the right model to come along. At present, I feel almost all the 2019+ T models in particular seem to be light on options (or at least not matching my minimum requirements).

Patience is the key, when I first found my car I was not quite ready, after I waited a couple of weeks it sold to another buyer. Lucky for me they eventually backed out, took them some time, but it worked out for me in the end. I paid $191k just over half original MRSP, with the 2 years Farrari warranty included, new tires, full PPF. Even if it is not sold by a Ferrari dealer you can still take it, get it inspected and buy a warranty from Ferrari.

It took me about three months to find both my fcars, one was a specific spec requirement, the other (while wild) was not. I think if you’re really working the search, you’ll find it in that timeframe unless you’re looking for a unicorn.

I was at my local dealer last week looking at a car and they did have a lot of lussos and ffs that came in on trade as puros are delivered. Not saying the market will be flooded by any means, but I think there will be more stock available over the balance of the year.
