    Do you ever look at some old magazines and I’m not talking about magazines from the 60s and 70s and scratch your head and think for the price of a new Ferrari I could have bought this classic instead? Even though it doesn’t feel like it these magazines are from 20-25 years ago. Time definitely flies. Remember it like it was yesterday. I remember buying my testarossa in 1997 for 72k and passed on a Miura because it looked like a corvette to me. Or buying a new lotus esprit for 65k and passing on a bmw m1 because my brother said it would be hard to get parts. I am putting a price guide as well from back then. It’s in British pounds which back then was about double the US dollar.
    Also this is when magazines were enjoyable. You would literally read from cover to cover and not the nonsense that started coming out later. No wonder the printed magazine has went the way of the dodo bird. It’s amazing I have kept every magazine from early 90s to mid 2000s. Always good to look back

    I have boxes of old Du Pont Registry, Cavallino and Ferrari Market Letter magazines from the late 1980's through early 2000's in my basement. Every Forza from issue #1 to #179. Some old Car & Driver magazines too.

    I do enjoy looking back at them every now and then.. Particularly FML prices.

    What is even stranger to me is that a Testarossa, 328, or air-cooled 911 doesn't feel like an old car to me. The newer stuff is an indistinguishable blur. Definitely a case of coming of age in the '80s. Hell, I even know what a Jalpa is...

    I have a huge collection of old Car Magazines... Its really a problem. My wife hates it. I re read the same articles over and over again. I just love it. One of my most favorite is a Car article about a comparison between a carbed 308 , and the "new" 328. I've had that magazine from new, and have taken it around the world to keep me company.. .I still have it today, and re read that article about 2 months ago. I have magazines that cover all the cars I have owned... its like visiting an old friend. I also have magazines covering F1 and Sports car racing from the 60's to today. I have a real problem.

    Totally agree. The Interiors of the 80s Ferrari's are in my opinion almost perfect. nothing better than a 308 QV interior... Or TR. Porsche's from the 80s do seem a bit more basic, but they are still fun to drive, and I think the overall looks are about perfect.

    I still have the magazine, it’s either C&D or R&T, with the test drive of the Lamborghini Jalpa somewhere in my attic.
