Hi guys, Recently bought a ferrari 488 gtb 2016 MY with 23k miles and since i bought it (used) i noticed when i hit a pot hole or on uneven road i can feel a strong hit on the left side (driver side) and i thought it was normal since the car is very low and everything would be felt and this is the characteristic of the car. The car was fairly comfortable with nothing suspicious except for the hard hit i feel whenever i hit a pothole or the road is bad anyways, i was driving it normally and after i hit something in the road i felt the hit very hard and after 5 minutes the “Suspension system failure” light went on and immediately i felt that the front left shock absorber is shot and i can feel literally everything and there was sounds coming on bad or uneven roads. took it to the shop, plugged the OBD and it throw 2 codes which are ”LF DAMPER COIL- SIGNAL NOT PLAUSIBLE “C1201-08 “” LF DAMPER COIL - OPEN CIRCUIT”” C1201-0B the tech said that the piston or actuator inside the shock is shot and it was leaking oil and no longer working and the electrical components inside the shock absorber are not sending any signal (sort of that i don’t remember) New ones are expensive so looking for websites that sells used ones or anyone selling one for reasonable price if anyone knows any places or websites that would be appreciated.
