I have already asked advice from listers a few years ago, but I need an updated current list. My 1988.5 TR with 18 K miles came back from its major service after a year and a half at the shop (???)(fortunately no storage fees) and it is damn near impossible to engage first gear after stopping at every red light. The machanic in question did come to my house, bled the clutch, adjusted the shift linkage, and changed the gear oil.....and then he offered to send an eclosed trailer to pick the car up. Then he said the transport driver was unavailable....that was 6 weeks ago. I give up.

At the stoplight, can you select 3rd gear and then rapidly move the shift lever to select 1st gear?

Florida’s a pretty big state. Care to narrow down your area?

You could give Jonathan aka "Supercar Mechanic" a call. https://www.supercarmechanicinc.com/ He's in Delray Beach and I know that he is familiar with Testarossas. Jonathan did the last major on my Testarossa and my car does seem to run and operate very well in most respects. But as others have already said, Tim Stanford seems to be a highly regarded Florida-based tech. I know that Tim specializes in Ferraris from the Testarossa era and does not favor the newer cars. I hope this helps.
