Well, don’t blame the driver with bad refueling-no self serve in NJ, I think the only state with such a law. Now of course if he drove off before the attendant removed the nozzle . . .

 

That is very unfortunate. I'm guessing the attendant just kept pumping gas beyond the first click & doused the hot engine/exhaust. If so, I'm also thinking an insurance claim to make whole will fall on the gas station.

 

When asking family recently about this, one reason they continue to self serve is thousands would be unemployed. There are political reasons as well.

So, too bad gas stations and insurance companies, you continue to let this happen to you.

 

People here love not pumping their own gas. No smelly hands, great in inclement weather, great for our aging population. And people pushing self service say prices will drop. Which they won’t.

 

Well, it had a Stardropper exhaust.
