Deposit is in on a 12C Coupe.
Currently waiting on final approval, but I’ve worked through the initial spec and would love feedback from those of you who know these builds inside and out.

My goal is to create a menacing, clean-spec 12C—something stealthy and aggressive. I went back and forth on a few choices, especially between yellow calipers vs. dark grey, and carbon fiber aero vs. standard body-color parts for the front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser.

Below are my selected options—would appreciate any thoughts on what I might be missing or should reconsider. Thanks in advance.

I’m a fan of discrete calipers. If it were mine, I would spec black calipers. We ended up with carbon exterior on ours, so….

I would do carbon exterior and black calipers. I think it will look fantastic!

Thanks. Did you see any changes you would make or "must have's" for the interior?

Bordeaux or Cioccolato/Iroko interior would go great as an alternative to all black. Exterior spec looks great with the black calipers.

I also like the daytona style seats. a nice touch that I have spec’d is to have the “stripes” alcantara with the seats leather. But I keep the same color. I think it gives a nice contrast but is not overly busy.

As mentioned, Iroko may be a nice contrast to an all black, but in this case, I think black is the right color to carry your theme. Even though I don’t love black interiors, we spec’d ours as a triple layer yellow exterior and while Iroko would definitely have worked, we elected to do black and keep the car basically two tones instead of adding a third color.

I don’t like digital mirrors because I wear progressive lenses and the focal point is off. I have to look through the bottom of my glasses for things to be in focus. So if it were mine, I would pass on that.

The only other item I would think about is wrapping the steering wheel in black leather in lieu of keeping the carbon. We did that on our 812SF and now on the 12C that is coming. It retains the shift lights, but is (IMO) a more elegant look than the carbon wheel. I think it is more in keeping with the GT aspect. It is stupid expensive for what you get as are most of these options, but one I don’t regret. An added bonus, if you live in a hot climate, is that the wheel doesn’t heat up while parked. :)

Again, your spec is really nice and I think it will look awesome.

Oh, one more thing. Have you considered the carbon fiber shield option? I noticed you did the carbon wheel caps. Might think about that. ;)

Interesting to add the alcantara stripes in the Daytona style seats int he same color. Also thanks for the tip on the carbon fiber shield option. I will look into that.

And yes a not climate. Florida.

I’ve gone for a few red highlights to lift the cabin as well (not shown is the Italian flag that will also be on the headrest). Have you considered the outside lower parts being painted gloss (ie the pieces that can be specced in carbon). I am doing that including mirror caps on my Rosso Imola 12Cil and it looks very clean

I was reading another spec related thread and there was a lot of guys saying no to the carbon shield and I made note of that. Now that there’s two of you that are saying yes I’m gonna have to rethink. Anyone have a pic?

I was not thinking of introducing another color into the interior. I even eliminated yellow stitching. But those pictures sure do look good.

I saw those last night. I have another thread going in the general forum with a poll regarding matte versus non-matte. Also if I was to do matte after the fact with a satin PPF, what should I do for the aero in that possibility. I might do carbon fiber now. I do not believe I will go satin, but in the remote possibility it might be nice to option the aero accordingly. Here are pics of that car in you insta link…

Regarding the carbon shield, I think you can order a set and replace the standard shields after arrival. That might be a good way to go. If you don’t live the carbon, you can always replace back to original.

(I believe you can only order extra shields in carbon, not standard)

Speaking of carbon, I'm generally not a huge fan, especially on cars I daily, but I do love Exterior Sill Kick In Carbon. It's hard to really see this in action unless you're at the dealer & their configurator but it makes the door kick carbon instead of a bright aluminum and I think it looks better. Also one of the cheaper Carbon options.

I'd definitely stick to the dark calipers, yellow calipers clash too much with the black. Controversially I would also say delete the shields though from the resale point of view this might not be such a good idea as seemingly everyone wants shields!

Agree. If I did stitching I would do yellow. Bounces off the shield that I personally love.

Bordeaux stitch doesn’t pop as much as rosso. Nice for an understated addition of color. I also love the combo of alcantara center and leather outer on racing seats. Alcantara lower portion of dash and door cards ties in well with this too.

Do you have any renderings of the gloss black outside lower parts. I am considering that option as well.

My car has Rosso Imola exterior. Do you think its too much red in the interior?
