I’d like to replace the entire set on my 330 GTS.
Over the decades it’s collected a motley collection of mixed styles. Many showing corrosion.
Been difficult finding anything other than plastic bodied substitutes.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

They are not that rare. I got mine from my local NAPA.

    The plastic ones are common.

I’m seeking genuine, ceramic bodied OEM style fuses.
That’s been a good bit more challenging.

Go to Amazon.com and search “ceramic torpedo fuses”. A variety of different amperage options are available.

I would suggest in the strongest possible terms to not buy fuses from Amazon. It's now known in electrical engineering/hobbyist circles that the no-name Chinese supplier fuses sold on there are extremely inconsistent in quality and may not blow at the rated amperage/time. A fuse is a critical safety device and is no place to gamble with unknown suppliers. Even "name brand" items on Amazon may be comingled with counterfeit inventory due to how their fulfillment systems work.

There's a good demonstration at this youtube video. He tests ATO blade fuses, not torpedo fuses, but I would bet the quality control for amazon torpedo fuses is similarly nonexistent.

EDIT: to provide a constructive suggestion, you can still source Eaton and Littelfuse torpedo fuses from electronics distributors like Mouser and Digikey. They will have plastic bodies, but I'd much rather have a plastic bodied fuse from a legitimate manufacturer and supplier rather than a ceramic fuse of unknown provenance. There's nothing functionally wrong with plastic as long as they are rated for the proper blow amperage/time for your application.

Avoid the glass version that was the only option twenty years ago. And, regardless of the version, give them a twist every year to prevent corrosion at the ends.

Thanks for all your input and suggestions.

I guess I’m stuck with the plastic option.
I’ll look for Buss or Littlefuse brands.

Getting tougher every day to find original parts and competent service providers for these older models.

Flosser still makes these fuses in good quality.

If you search around you can still find them. The red 16A and blue 25A are easy to get. My parts guy had a harder time finding the white 8A fuses. I will never use the plastic fuses, as I have seen them melt when they get hot.

BMW air-cooled motorcycles from 1972 to the mid 80s used the 8amp fuses. I have gobs of them.

I may also have some I no longer need. Let me check the old "dino parts" bin in the garage, whatever I find I'm happy to send along to you.

This is almost definitely due to corrosion. The tips of the fuse and the prongs that hold them should be cleaned at least annually.

We still live in the Stone Age where I live, but even then, ceramic fuses are a possibility, as very old cars are abundant.
I will have someone check at the local parts corner store.

Newer ones are plastic and color keys to ampacity..

The old ceramic ones are labeled but you get used to handling them the fuse length wwidth is obvious

Definately sanding the ends for oxide and putting a little Cool Amp on the sprngs will help, once the block melts, it s done.

Most owners or their "mechanics"(?) do not consider little details like this until there's a problem and even then not necessarily deal with them adequately.
And this along with all other lack of maintenance is definitely more common among "investment grade" & "low mile" garage queens.
