I can’t answer the question of where in the UK you can find them, but performance tires are made in batches based on expected demand, so if they are out of a particular size, it might be awhile before they’re stocked again. You might have to look around some and perhaps even the continent if none available in the UK. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Thanks for the input. I’ll see what occurs as we head towards spring. I presume that 225/40 just isn’t hugely in demand.
UK chap here. I usually buy my tyres from Camskill. Out of interest I checked their stock and they have PS4S fronts available in 2 days and the rears in 6 days. I wear 225/35/19 and 285/35/19 though. I swapped my old P Zeros for PS4Ss last spring and it's made the car much nicer to drive.
Has anyone installed Michelin Pilot Sport 5's on their 360? This tire is available in the OEM sizes. Speed rated Y (186 mph). I know they are one step below the 4S, but as a stock size alternative option I am considering. Any comments?
Agreed. As well as slightly higher performance. However, PS4S does not come in OEM size which affects speedometer and ASR slightly. PS5 comes in the OEM size so not issues in that regard. So the pertinent question is; does the slightly better performance of PS4S outweigh the negative speedometer/ASR issue?
I was not able to find the PS5 in stock in the USA in those sizes (I do know it exists but only the UK tire shops seemed to have them) so instead went with the PS4S in the sizes recommended in the initial post in this thread. Only ~100mi on them so far but no rubbing / drivability issues and car seems to both ride better / grip better and has a bit more turn-in than the Pirellis on it before. Mind you, those tires were 10yrs old...
Having used the car on track I found it to be extremely well balanced, and not lacking grip by any stretch of the imagination, so when my Pirellis wear out I'll most likely be replacing them with PS5s. Maybe later this year if I do a few more track days, lol
This combo would match OEM for aspect ratio (height) but be slightly wider since the OEM widths are not available in this tire? Is it because they are wider that it is not smart to use the OEM height or was the OEM height choices not available when this thread was created? Image Unavailable, Please Login
