Old thread, but I figured I'd post - black California spotted in Orchard Park Saturday night. I also saw a Lamborghini Huracan a couple of days ago. Nice to see some cool cars out with the better weather.
Hi Joe - you live here or just visiting? Jay and I have now become friends but not thru this thread - I have not seen this thread in a couple years.
My wife and I grew up in WNY. We primarily live in FL, have since 2005, but we have a place in OP as well. Spend a couple months here each year.
Black 430 Spider today in OP - I never remember there being many Ferraris around here when I was a kid!
Had a great time in the Buffalo area last week. Weather was the best. Went to a car show downtown on Sunday. No F-cars, almost no foreign cars, but a great group of guys and gals. Pictures are of two cars that I liked. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Who's going to The Glen for the FCA meet in a few weeks from WNY? Sent from my SM-G930V using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I'm going Sat / Sun. Since I'm not a FCA member, and the lowest entry is $325, I'm not doing any of the FCA events - just the concours on Sunday (spectator).
Not sure if this is the right place to post an intro, but this is my hood. Go Bills! Greetings from Boston, NY where our roads suck (looking at you Erie Co) A little about me - my daily driver is a very well cared for 16 Rubicon HR, and secondary vehicles are a 2002 HD Road King (ordered carbureted from Big John) and a 1974 Highboy (factory). I’m a low key guy. Never owned a 2 seater or convertible. This is a real departure for me. And one I’m excited about. Only read about and admired them. New 360 F1 Spider owner. The car is Tour De France Blue, blue and gray leather, blue top, stage 2 tune, and tubi exhaust. Picked the car up after annual service last week and drove 465 miles home. Thought we would be able blend in - not a chance with the sound. First impressions of the car - it’s raw yet civilized. More comfortable and faster than I could dream. And the sound, oh my. The first four hours of the trip home was in the hard rain on I-80. Roads dried up north of Williamsport and things got fun on 15N. (Great visuals, sweeping turns, and road condition) In Avoca we popped the top and covered the ground from the 390 split to 19 as quick as any drive I can recall. Fun rip past Rushford with some quick passing. Hit a single pothole on that journey - Route 39 west going into Springville. Fortunately at slow speed. Boston-Springville Rd is suspect so we took the 219 to Rice. Just a spectacular drive home. Even with the rain. A full exterior detail has been completed, will move on to the interior once I get the Lexol. On Tuesday, the car wouldn’t turn over. Open door, F1 system primes, Immobilizer turned off, Key in, Check Okay, roll the key forward to start, hear a hum, N is flashing, and nothing. Pull the engine bay hatch lock, reassemble. Pull the negative terminal, left overnight. Pulled the battery for load testing which checked ok. Reinstalled the battery, and here I am down the rabbit hole of F Chat threads “360 won’t start”…. Possibly the car may be picked up to return to NJ (terrific shop and owner who took a ton of time with me this week), or get to a local shop on a trailer. Waiting on some call backs. Look forward to getting this sorted out and meeting up. Has anyone seen the Smoke Creek Tactical wrapped 599 Fiorano GTB in OP?
So just a suggestion, my Independent Shop is in Harmony PA. That's 3 hours from you, much closer than NJ. My guys have been tearing down all models of Ferrari for years. They have done a significant amount of work on my 599. Riggins Specialty Automotive, Harmony PA. Reasonable prices.
Thanks George. Good to know. Dave is going to stop by with his SD2 scanner to see if we can identify the issue. (Turns out we are neighbors!) The service shop who did the annual service would like the car back if we can’t get it going. My best friend who sold me the car will send his guys up to transport. Might be another spirited drive back from NJ in my future.
