Watkins Glen? I just read it was FCY for 2:53 of the 6 hour event. That's not racing.

 

By my calculation, that must have left 3 hours and 7 minutes of racing, no ?

 

Yes, but.....there were 10 caution periods, during which the fast class was bunched up behind the leader(other classes, too), after being allowed to pass slower class(es). This effectively negated any advantage a faster car had over others. And that's not racing.
I'm pretty sure you know all this.

 

I thought they were doing it to keep the audience interested. Lol
