Aston Martin could potentially become a top team with Honda and Newey onboard from next year.

I´d only move to Aston Martin if I hadn´t anything better or was offered silly money. Any rule change is a gamble, but with a team that is in a re-build phase and new engine supplier, it´s a crapshoot.

Aston Martin has both Alonso and Lance "under contract" for 2026. Who would they let go to make room for Russell, Lance or Fernando?

This^^^ Precisely. Looking / reading what Newey has stated in the press about Aston's 'tools' they are not sounding close to being WDC team in the near future.

George may be a target hire to AM, but that doesn't mean he has any interest in going there.

True, but with Toto Wolff apparently eager to deprive Red Bull of their best asset, and Kimi being his "protégé", Russell must start to feel where the wind comes from, and explore his options.

To replace Alonso? AM team cannot be considered a serious one until the Stroller leaves. He is wasting any chance of maximizing the car's potential.
Any chance of developing Newey's efforts will water down with only one good driver.

They need experience and youth. FA is ticking clock and Lance drives too much like he is no longer capable of growing. A Russell is whats needed. 2 actually for the team to move forward.

I was almost laughing, so who represents the youth and experience between Russell and Stroller? I think this silly season contemplates the
possibility that Alonso may retire, but if not, Russell and Alonso would be a good pairing. I think Alonso is also buying time, as if he had all
in the world, to see if the Stroller finally gives up.

FA and Lance need to go. What young driver program does Stroll Sr manage. They need have some depth. Again not a team about to lead the F1 field.

Whoever they bring, Stroll has to go. Now they can put him in the Le Mans car to save the face. Alonso still can do the job until he dies of poisoning after bitting his own tongue or a young miracle appears, whatever happens first.

Newey can play the propaganda role as well as anyone. We won’t know until next Feb.

Expecting results already in 2026 is premature, but the team should progress to the top in future years.

Madrid as it is today - the new 'circuit' lol
Work is ongoing around the clock as organisers of Madrid's 2026 Spanish Grand Prix are bullish on their chances of getting Formula 1's latest venue ready in time - despite the face of local resistance.

Just over a month ago, construction began on the Madring circuit. The track is set to make its F1 debut next September, using a hybrid of existing streets and a purpose-built road course section around the IFEMA fairgrounds and Real Madrid's Valdebebas training complex.

They are building a huge banked corner. The rest of the circuit layout looks..... two overtaking opportunities and then? Huge debate.
