I picked up 2023 296GTS last weekend. It is a nice car but I have started a list of minor issues I did not pick up on during the test drive. The main one is I have picked up a "flapping sounding" rattle when roof is down at 40-45mph. It appears to be coming from overhead both sides on the inner windscreen trim. However, if you grab it the frequency does not change. I know detecting direction of a source like this can be tricky

I am compiling a list of the sources I have found so far by searching on FChat. Please add more.

    Aerodeck flexing
Air-con actuator bypass stuck, failing for failed.
    Windscreen trim

I do hear something when top down but I have to be driving over 60 mph and when going over bumps. Doesn’t really kill me.

the one I don’t like is the racing seats rattle. Again when going over bumps

I have Racing Seat rattles as well, I think there are products that will help this. Work on that separately. Once I know more I will post.

I did. It lasted about a week and it came back again. Rattle is in the lower back area of my racing seats in the 296. Never had them in the F8 nor the Scud (both also racing seats). So something about these new format in the newer gen models…

Same - just in the GTS not the 296, it is not rubbing somewhere that is creating that?
Some seat rails are not placed perfectly - maybe remove seat and re - install,

slight rattle in the passenger seat back. That's because it's unoccupied when I drive. No big deal.

Sometimes the seatbelt hits the seat causing a squeak.

If the seat is all the way to the back it can cause a squeak from rubbing the against the rear wall.

The car is very sold and feels better put together than any Ferrari I have owned going back 35 years.

Had that, now fixed, sounded exactly as you describe, turned out to the the air vents adjacent to the headlights - they are taped in and the tape had failed

You guys should also list the approximate mileage when these first appeared.

Rattling seats, could it be an unoccupied passenger seatbelt is banging against the seat back or side of the car? Try putting the passenger seatbelt into its socket, this happens to me with the 458.

Amazing, how did they find that was the root cause ? Do you know if there is any tell tail to lookout for ?

they suggested via a test drive and examination - but my son who is a tech for another marque suspected there was probably an associated technical bulletin.
