How come the rear windows seem so much more problematic than the fronts? Same motors probably, similar mechanisms, and the fronts would probably have more open close cycles. My fronts have always been normal and quite fast to actuate, rears always feel a bit laboured to move up and down. All switches cleaned, etc.

I just got off the phone with their technician, for the price of $1000 (EACH side!) they refurbish everything including the motors, sounds like they know what they're doing but you never know until you send it off.

They are seldom used, that's the only thing I can think of. Lack of use is the biggest contributor to problems with any mechanism

The fronts don’t have that double loop track set up. It’s a much more normal style regulator. The motors are also easily removable and replaceable. I found a company that made custom regulators for street rods that used exactly the same motors and got brand new ones for $90 a side. That was a few years ago, so don’t know if that’s still an option, but it’s a much easier system to deal with. Unless, of course you have a pre-85 with the goofy cable driven mess.

I love that = "Honor price before December increase" - 20.00"
Why shouldn't this be a role and not an exception?

Are these motors for the front or rear windows (or both?)?

    Great Scott,
Can you post a pic of the front motor assembly as it is in the car?

Next time I pull the door panel. It actually looks similar to what you found in the rear of yours. I think someone tried to make a front fit the back when that one was re-engineered.
