Was in the market for a 600lt, but really don't need more headaches in my life and everything I read pulls me away. A friend of mine recently purchased a 458 and I fell in love with it. Came across this dealer and the car looks amazing - wondering if previous owner is on here? Anyone knows the history of the car?

Price seems a little high, maybe I'm wrong? Dealer agreed to remove the aftermarket wheels and install stocks, will bring the price down a little by doing so. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

I'm probably out of touch but the price seems high for the mileage and utterly common color combination, unless all those upgrades are something you would definitely want to add. I think the HREs look sweet but I wouldn't pay that much premium for them.

Id probably wind up doing lowering, exhaust and ppf - but i can get all of that at wholesale including wheels so HRE’s have $0 value to me. Im thinking with stock wheels should be closer to $199k?

I would want the complete option list, does not appear to be a highly optioned car from the factory which will affect the purchase price ... be aware that from the photos it looks like everything on the car is sticky (gearbox buttons look aftermarket) and will need to be refinished, either by yourself or professionally done which will make it look new again but is very expensive. That car is way too low if it does not have the factory lifter, so you certainly will want to look closely for any undercarriage damage from scraping. You also must do a complete PPI on the car, paying particular attention to the original Magneride shocks (if they are leaking), removing all the undertrays and looking closely for any sign of fluid seeping or leaking at the weep hole of the gearbox (this is a $30k repair at a dealer, or $15k + at an independent who knows what they are doing), as well as looking closely for leaks timing chain covers, and any other leaks. Look for pulling leather on the dash, another expensive repair. And be sure to have the brakes checked, too, both for wear and chips on the rotors, pads and rotors cost a small fortune and if the car has been tracked, they will be worn. I think there are probably nicer examples out there. Remember, the least expensive Ferrari typically winds up being the most expensive one to own. Also do not love the fact that the brake recall was never performed after three years, that doesn't sound like a carefully maintained car to me.

That year, those miles, a stock car is probably $215-220k. Needs all stickies redone so probably on the lower end of that scale.

IMO, the wheels don’t work on a 458, it’s too low, the body kit is tacky, the stripes are wrong. To each their own though.

My honest opinion, hit up Mike at Yellow Compass. He’ll find you a good car.

I had a 600LT spider for 2.5 years and had no real issues keeping it serviced on time and keep a warranty (McLaren warranty covers everything and are really good ) unlike the Ferrari power warranty. I’d have one over the 458 all day . They do suffer with corrosion issues as do Ferrari
488 tho would be close and I’d go 488 . And F8 well no question it would be F8
But the doors do go up and gets lots of attention

I've been tracking all of the 458 listings lately and have developed a pricing model based on year, color, and mileage. Based on that, a red 2013 with 19,064 miles and an average number of options on it would be listed for $206,091. That car looks like its a pretty low option spec too., no factory carbon, no lifter, only the two-tone Daytona seats. It's also got a bad case of the stickies, which is pretty expensive to fix, and doesn't bode well for the condition of the rest of the car.

Then there are the aftermarket mods. Those generally hurt the value of the car, not help it. Although I think those have been pretty tastefully done.

Jag36 is spot on. Further scrutiny and another 10% off before seriously considering this one.
