We can also drop out pictures completely, if we wish. There would be less or no value for common f-chatters, and amount of accusations of distributing incorrect information would likely increase, but other than that nothing would really change. I hardly ever share any pictures as I don't own any. It does not lessen the point of my postings though, even if I get some unsubstantiated critisism from time to time.

Poor Favara, he didn't miss it....
Most crash in Ferraris are due to speed but also to trees.

Isn't the sharing of photos allowed for educational purposes? I think that's the case for this thread.

Just FYI #204 and #208 was taken by Comm. Vaghi-Parma, Atelier Fotocinematografico in Parma.
#210 by the Archive of the Automobile Club of Parma.
Not difficult at all to credit photos, it just requires a bit more effort.

Who owns what and can really claim and prove being the ‘owner’? A very few, I humbly guess. And collecting pictures and assembling them in whatsoever ‘Archive’ is an old and long known trick of many. But contrary to the expectations, it does not generate any rights of claiming ‘my picture’. Wrong?

And yes, there are ‘derelict’ pictures without identified right holders and those can be freely used when nobody is falsely declaring them ‘my picture’ what also many do.

In this passionate tread, we have a wonderful and non-commercial use of pictures for educational reasons. This is ‘fair use’, produces no damage and does not violate any rights of the ‘owners’, especially when the photographer is clearly marked like Christian and many others regularly do. Shouldn’t we continue this unique and wonderful tread in that educational spirit and stop any other discussion?

Thank you very much for this very interesting point of view ! Another element to take into consideration I think is that the photos are not freely accessible: you have to log in to be able to see them and the photos posted in the thread are invisible in search engines. We are in a sort of restricted committee…;)
Congrats to the yellow team ! :D

I would have rather said a garage in Tunisia. The Scaglietti spyder is Luigi Bordonaro’s 0530M.

I cannot say for sure either way having only visited once. My memory of visiting Pozzi's garage in Levallois-Perret in '93 was walking in off the street and walking down a ramp that led to a level below grade that was just filled with old racing horses. Thank you both for reminding me.

Yes indeed! Fchat is a separate forum. You must register to post and view pictures. It's a small, restricted circle and posting pictures for education is ‘fair use’ in good faith and with the source (if known), does not violate any ‘property’ or rights of the (real!) right ‘owners’. This type of use for non-commercial purposes and pure passion causes no harm and it’s really hard to understand why some do not appreciate and support. Let’s just enjoy and please continue!

Note : 0524M was the 750 Monza Scaglietti spyder crashed by Casimiro de Oliveira at 1955 Dakar Grand Prix with #25. Then, the car crashed by de Oliveira at Boavista is most probably a brand new chassis (most probably in 056x or 057x M range) restamped 0524M as the previous one was scrapped at the factory.

Can someone clarify the life of 0560 MD ? Mascarenhas’ car had no fins on the rear wings at Tanger (see post 2186), are we sure it is the same car at Boavista ?

Well, all the Monza/Mondial in 056x at 057x range with standard Scaglietti body seem suspicious for me.
Why the standard body with the classic side vents would be still produced as Scaglietti made bodies with large side vents from 056x range to 058x range ?
Then the cars like 0560MD (Fernando Mascarenhas), 0572M (Jose Nogueira Pinto), 0574MD (Siro Sbracci) and 576M (Vasco Sameiro) with standard bodies must have a hidden story or even another identity...

How about 0534MD with big side vent...? At least 10 Monzas and Mondials come back to factory with various issues - and then 6-silindri and 3.5-litri are being developed...

In 1954 renumbering rebuilt cars and reusing cancelled numbers was a standard factory practise. I see no reason why this would suddenly change for 1955. Most of it has not been sorted out and some of it never will be.
