    In refinishing my center console, I carefully marked every wire from every switch before removal. However, I found one male spade wire that was not connected to anything. When I connected it to a probe, it flashed when I pulled the light stalk. Does anyone know where this wire should be connected. There are no open female connections in the center console. I know different countries utilize different flashing and light sequences. This car was delivered new to Van de Griff motors in LA and as its a 1978 mode was not federalized.

    You connect it to the foglight cable, it's roughly explained in the owner manual. Have a look at the diagram, next to the foglight switch, then read the manual page that is mentioned on the diagram

    (from memory...).

    Where's the fog light switch? I don't remember one; my stalk lever flashed the fog lights but not sure I ever turned those lights on with their own switch.

    My foglight switch is on the center console to the right of the mirror joystick

    Ah, Series 1, mine was '84 Series II.
