    Hello from NZ. Im looking foir the Evapoator box that sits under the dash on the passengers side of a RHD car. Im in NZ. My car is a 1986 328 GTB. Im trying toind a giood used one that has been tested and doesnt leak. tx [email protected] Thanks for your assistance.

    If you don't find a replacement, you can repair it with fiberglass and paint it. Replace the blower motor with the much better Fial unit while you're at it.

    If you have one now, I agree it will be easier to fix what you have than replacing it. Especially for a RHD car.

    Depending on where it's broken you might not even need fiberglass if you aren't comfortable using it (it's not hard though)

    I used some JB Weld (don't know if they have that in NZ) to fix the drain "nipple" on mine that got cracked and was leaking.

    Hi Betrand. It certainly is. New in Christchurch 1986 through Philip Mills Ltd, who had a sub license for a short while. Full service History, nearly every WOF, all books and tools etc etc etc. 25000 miles.

    Thanks for this information. Its all really appreciated. I have heard the product its made of is quite brittle. Nice to know it can be fixed with a fiberglass repair.

    It is interesting that one side is thin (motor side) and brittle, and the other side is much thicker and appears to be a different material. Good luck.

    I have mine out at the moment as well, as the motor side, which appears to be brittle ABS plastic was very broken at the forward attachment point causing an air leak and condensation drainage issues. The other side of the assembly, which disburses the cold air, is fiberglass, and appears to be much more durable.
