    Nice move to your first Ferrari. The F8 is a great car.

    Many here are owners of multiple F cars, there’s a reason.

    Not quite the drama as the H, but it’s a car you can daily drive and enjoy.

    Thanks everyone.

    I’m already constantly ready to drive it. It’s the fastest car I’ve ever had, even faster than my stage 2 tuned Porsche 992

    I have yet to explore it at full speed, taking it one step at a time.

    Steering is not as weighted as I hoped it would be, which surprised me. But still handles great

    But I don’t really care. I have it in my BMW, which is my daily, and that’s what matters.

    Tech in a weekend sports car is nice and all, but sometimes it’s a nuisance. My Huracan was an Evo and the MMI screen, which you need to use to control the HVAC systems, basically went blank for the last week that I owned it. I’m off tech now for non-daily cars.

    Let Toyota, Acura, Lexus, BMW, Audi, etc do tech and do it properly. Ferrari and Lamborghini, etc are way out of their league when it comes to tech and I expect it to be buggy on a regular basis

    Got it. Someone had told me that all 22’s got it standard so that’s why I was curious. Anyway, nice spec - enjoy!

    My ‘22 came with Apple CarPlay. All late model ‘22s came with it to somewhat make up for the price increase in MSRP. It’s one of the most unnecessary options I need as I never use it as I rather connect wirelessly through Bluetooth.

    Welcome. I am in the process of selling my F8. Loved it but wanted a Naturally aspirated Ferrari. Incredible car though in every way. I will say, the apple carplay in my F8 was terrible with respect to any nav based app. It would constantly lag. Doesn’t do it in any of my other cars. 2nd Ferrari wher Apple CarPlay had this issue. You’re not missing out on much IMO. Congrats and welcome

    Went for another drive yesterday and more planned for today.

    This car rocks. Fastest car I've ever owned, and arguably the most visceral (Huracan comes close because of the noise).

    Is there any point in driving in Auto mode? I'm pretty much always in Manual mode and it's such a blast. I have HUGE carbon fiber paddle shifters, and it makes such a difference. My R8 had rinky dinky little paddle shifters, as did my Porsche, so I was rarely in manual mode in those cars.

    I'm now convinced that proper paddle shifters are a MUST in any supercar.

    Maybe in heavy traffic but otherwise no. These cars are meant to be driven in manual and yes, the large carbon shifters are incredible. the F8 shifts too fast and too early in automatic.

    As soon as mine gets up to temperature I put it into manual and select race mode, anything less is a compromise.

    They should put this on page 1 of the manual: Manual mode, race mode and bumpy mode. For me at least that's the best experience

    Yes, Auto whilst the engine is warming up to avoid the temptation of using too many revs.
    Race mode is great if the road is not dry, but TC Off in the dry is where the fun begins! The tail is very happy to play, but there is still an ESC safety net should it start getting out of hand.

    As I wanted to get to know the car a bit, I haven't driven yet with TC off. I might try that soon.

    I live in an area where the roads are mostly straight anyhow, so I probably won't notice the difference, LOL
