Luca Montezemolo was adept at winning. And is apparently now joining the board of McLaren.....who are already winning.....

Completely not necessary. People (engineers) refusing to join Ferrari has nothing to do with location, but more of fear. The useless top management, the media.

Yep. I'd say it's actually an advantage now to be in Italy to attract the highly paid clever people: UK has abandoned the non dom tax advantage, which for non-english engineers was a great reason to move to the UK before. Italy now has a flat tax of 200K for non-italians. La Dolce Vita looking extra dolce now.

Its like you say...the problem is the regime looking for scape goats.

    Here's a headline I found on that:

Meet Antonello Coletta - The man tipped to be Lewis Hamilton's new boss at Ferrari

    :oops::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Is Sir Lulu the only driver for Ferrari? Isn't there a guy named Charles who tends to clean his clock more often than not?? I hope Sir Lulu fans understand why this undeserved hype is so tiring, and motive (marketing dollars) so transparent.

I hope the new boss can turn things around. Ferrari have been cleaning up the Hypercar class at Le Mans lately for sure.

It’s Sir Lewis… if Charles wants the same fanfare then let him put his titles on the table. Your boy Charles must earn the respect his fans crave.

FFS let Fred get past 2026. If the car is crap then do something. I've not been a fan of a few of his statements of late, but a organization of this size doesn't turn fast.

Precisely. The entire top level management + media needs to get their **** together, and have laser like focus. They have unfortunately, deviated massively from all the goals.

I mean, its gonna be 20 years now, and the team have achieved almost nothing. They are celebrating 3rd place finishes like as if they won the race itself.

It’s been mentioned a few times already, and I think there’s a lot of truth to it: Ferrari, as a publicly traded company, seems far more concerned with stock price movements than checkered flags. You really have to wonder — is winning in Formula 1 still a genuine priority, or just a convenient platform to fuel the ever-expanding merchandise empire?

Let’s not forget, the old motto was “win on Sunday, sell on Monday.” These days, it feels more like “launch on Sunday, sell hoodies on Monday.” And if you browse this forum, you’ll quickly notice: most (potential) buyers seem far more preoccupied with paint samples and carbon fiber trim than with pole positions or podiums.

Ferrari Corporate have now stated in the press years ago they are a Luxury Brand. They sell a 'lifestyle'. Its an aspirational marketing focus. It celebrates wealth and the events surrounding it. It involves, clothing, cars, image, travel etc etc. They are very much the LVMH of the auto world.

This is now literally old news.

They are building racing Yacht team. Thats another place to promote the Ferrari Luxury Brand/lifestyle. Another event that ties perfectly with Liberty and how they literally promote F1. Events, be seen, be marketed to, snap for your friends and promote our luxury brand for us. From a pure marketing perspective its superb and the stock price shows it.

Its far beyond 'hoodie' as the stakes and market targets are far more ambitious. Too many here are missing a far larger picture lol.

For all the conspiracy theorists and those who unfairly criticize Vasseur and speculated that his absence from the Austrian GP was the beginning of the end for him in Maranello
the reason for his absence last week was that his mother sadly passed away.

Not surprised to see that at all. There was zero indication before he left, as in a week or more, any real replacement was in the works. Replaced during the season.......not a chance in realistic terms.

Agreed. The fact that they brought in a washed up veteran to sell merchandise, instead of investing in the next superstar like Mercedes, speaks volume.
