296 Speciale Colors

Giallo Triplo Strato = @$38K

 

I have the price list in front of me and "Classic, Historic, Vintage, 2 layer and a few other colors are $13700-$13900. Then, "3/4 layer paint and Iconic colors along with 2 layer special and paint to sample colors are $37,000-$39400. Matt finishes are $45000.

 

I was under the impression that certain colors, namely the ones featured on the website, were discounted.

like giallo triplo strato and the new verde seen on the press car

 

This is the price list for 296 GTSs and GTBs. I don't know if the speciale is different but often options are the same price with different models of the same car. There are 6 or 7 colors that are no extra charge as well.

 

I thought so as well. In one of the price lists posted previously, "special colors" were at 13k€. The configurator on their website suggests that triplo strato would be in that category, but i wasn't able to verify that. Anyway, I am waiting for a quote for me spec with Giallo Montecarlo

 

my shop said I’m getting an allocation but they aren't even asking for a deposit yet so I’m going to just start putting some cash aside and enjoy my GTB

 

would the "Mica" variants of colours be more expensive such as Azzuro Dino Mica and Rosso Cobern Mica (Its my understanding that the "Mica" adds an extra paint fleck) ?

 

Specials likely 42k - 46K opaco, they add 10% on limited editions,
Corsa metallic was 39k vs TRS 42k which has Mica, Mica paints are same price as specials until you go to colors like Onda Marina 46k that have movement then it goes from there even higher for the really special paints 65k.

XX pricing assume same - stripes / numbers might as well get the most expensive paints there is no extra charge. Instead of Nurb silver get Sanu Silver. Still crazy but makes one feel better.

 

I took the Rosso Magma.

 

Giallo Montecarlo does not seem to be discounted. My configuration says

PNT0 - Giallo Montecarlo (Special Colours 2 Layers)

according to the list that was posted here, this category is EUR 31k :-/

Why ?

 

It looks like KL runner also chose the same Rosso Magma on his 296. A very vibrant color that really comes alive in the sunshine.

 

The indoor florescent lighting really doesn't do it justice

 

Stunning! Magma and Maranello best two reds.

 

Be aware that the colors on the configurator are sometimes completely different from reality. You should check them out live ...

 

Also price out the paint and stripes, other details, you can all of a sudden find you’ve added quite a lot of cost.

Just saw 2 models in Rosso Magma at my dealer. Unbelievable in person. Compared to Magma, what is the difference of Maranello in person. Looking at these 2 for my 12 Cillindri Spider. Thanks.

 

Magma is brighter, maranello more pure red. Maranello to me is more beautiful, Magma is more expressive. I'd be tempted to do Maranello on the 12 Cilindri Spider, as it fits a GT car so well.
