Wow! That is fantastic! Will you still take the allocation if the ZTK package is on restraint? I really want the high wing package and will likely pass until it becomes available.
I am hoping there are no constraints as most of the 2025 ZR1's produced to date have had the ZTK / TOM packages. I would probably pass and wait if they are not available but I really want Rapid Blue which is gone in 2026.
My new custom Z06 arrived at my dealer in Maryland today and its being loaded up tomorrow to start its journey to my home in Texas, really looking forward to it as it's been a long wait on my allocation. Loading and unloading must take skill with all that carbon ! Its so low ! Ps, diggin the rear stripe and the yellow!
Has your dealer already received an allocation for a ZR1 or are you first on the list? I'm number two on my dealer's list but am afraid it will be a while before they get an allocation(s).
I am number 2 but my dealer has already received their first allocation back in February so I am next. The allocation process was supposed to be finished for 2025 but there was a rumor several weeks ago that there could be one last round of allocations next Thursday. Who knows. With the new brake package, I may ask to wait until 2026 now.

This guy's vids are a lot of times a lot of blah, blah, blah, but he is an owner who drives and tracks his (many) cars. This vid does present good evidence of high depreciation on low mile Z06's. Selling Z06 for new ZR1? But, not all Z06 owners could afford to jump up to a ZR1, though maybe more than I would guess. .
Just got this surprise in mail from Chevy. Very substantial and heavy in my cars exact color Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey , if anyone is interested in selling their stock Z06 wheels and tires. Let me Know i have a friend who is willing to buy them.
So, I've had my Z06 almost 3 years now and if I'm honest, for how I use it, I just don't think it makes sense to trade to ZR1 or ZR1X. I just cruise in the Z06 with the top down and listen to the exhaust. And oh my WHAT AN EXHAUST NOTE! The car is quick, no doubt. But nothing compared to some of my others. I'd say 458 quick. But here's the thing, the car isn't playful. The 765 and 296 are so playful and synaptic. The Z06 steering is heavy and the car doesn't dance. But it's one of the best convertibles cruising sports cars there is, period.
Early morning cruise to meet a friend for breakfast today. Weather is brisk and beautiful. The car is a joy to use with the top down. Best sounding car I’ve ever owned, easily. The UI is so good and intuitive. Makes one wonder why the European OEMs can’t get it right. For example, the HUD on the Z06 is perfect and gives so much information. On the 296, it just gives a MPH. And the gearbox is sublime. I really do love the Z06 and think it’s a keeper. My buddy has a 992 GTS Targa who met me. Cool to see the cars side by side. The targa is really nice, comfortable, but so sedate relative to the Vette.
has anyone added the z07 wing to a non z07 car. i want to add to mine. If anyone has added, let me know from where you ordered? also do we need extra brackets to mount to chassis?
Looks like there may be a fire hazard with vettes with the rear fan and radiator when fuel is spilled near the intake vent on the side body. GM is looking at a fix. It appears to be a stop delivery versus a stop production.
stop sale on z06 due to risk fire if fill up gas when engine hot. supposed fix on way but not ready yet. no stop drive warning either, just dont fill with gas if fan still blowing.
You echo my thoughts. Recently got to drive a z06 at the glenn. The steering was both unnaturally heavy and otherwise lifeless. The power didnt really come on untill 7k and even then the box gearing seems to tally for this type of motor so response is not immediate. You can also feel the weight of the body going fast over crests where the suspension struggles to contain it. Everyhtign in the car felt slightly artificial and delayed to me.As you said its not playful. yes the motor sounds great, thats the cars party trick. Fundamentally though this car is still a vette, mid engine, relatively well built but if youve driven vettes before, its a vette, not a precise lithesome tool like a Gt3. That all being said running slicks these cars certainly put down the numbers and seem every bit the equal of porches best in terms of laptimes, if not experience. They also seem very tolerant of the hamfisted, which si alo why they may not be so playful, these days at the track I see a lot of moded C5 and C6 vettes, not last ebcause they are inexpensive to obtain and easily moded for track work. I also see a lot of the recent camaro for the same reason. No doubt in 5 or so years we'll see some stripped and modded c8 z06s and with some sorting these cars will be unbeatable for the money. Given the number that they have sold, GM clearly aimed the car right and hit a rich demographic of owners. Other tan the rear they look great on the street and every bit the exotic, not to mention the sound, and tht seems to cover the bases for most. Is a Gt3 worth 3x the money, No, but on the other hand imo the vette is not a substitute for something more lithe and raw, and the type of driving I enjoy. In vette land maybe the zr1 is the way to go, a sledghemmer road car.
