I am looking for a source for the connector housing from the engine wiring harness. I don't mean the plug directly on the DME, but the white plug next to it.
The yellow/green cable has unfortunately become hot. The connector has 9 pins with flat pin connectors.

I searched the spare parts catalogue, but unfortunately found nothing. The connector doesn't look particularly Ferrari-specific, but google couldn't help me either.

Is there a manufacturer's name on the connector?

Google "9 way (or 9 pin) automotive connector"

Maybe something like this AMP/TE Connectivity plug:

    https://www.automotiveconnectors.com/user/products/large/FB82-1725061-H.pdf

    Check the dimensions

    https://www.digikey.com.au/en/products/detail/te-connectivity-amp-connectors/172506-1/744769?

The other half of the plug seems to be obsolete. You may have to get a Chinese manufacturer to create some for you (in bulk). The part number may be 172061-2 ?????

Someone posted a link to a (US?) company which specialises in automotive connectors, but I can't find it.

Another solution may be just to find a completely different plug with the same current carrying capacity.

These ECU plugs are a common issue because they are pulled through the firewall during engine-outs.

I've just ordered half a connector and the pins and sockets from RS Components Australia.
I'll see how it goes, but there is a backorder on the contacts (2 weeks & postal time)

    To be confirmed:
    Connector
TE Connectivity 172506-1 "Multi-Interlock (MIC) Mark II

    Contacts
    Male 172779-1
    Female 172773-2

    Wire size 18~14AWG

If you are replacing both male and female side no need to use an identical connector. You could use 2 6 pin connectors. Or a 6 and a 9 so things don;t get mixed up. Or what ever.

Many thanks, this looks promising. I just measured the dimensions and confirm that this drawing shows the connector as used in the F355.

Digi Key has them for $1.11 each. But the data sheet shows dimensions that seem different than posted in post #8

Weird. At least with the Ali Express kit, you get matching halves. Hopefully the pin width is ok (if that is an issue with current)

Less than 50 cents.... Sounds like a good buy.

I'll wait to see what I get in the post. I paid a lot more for these, but I doubt the quality is any better. They only had packets of 10 for one half of the plug, so I'll have plenty left over.

I’ll see how many bits and pieces arrive, Grant, but the other gentleman’s plug kit sounds like a better option.
