So something interesting I just noticed: There are currently 4 cars listed for sale on Autotrader in the UK and they are ALL in Rosso Imola. Is it because people who were planning to resell them went for red thinking that's what the market will demand? What are your thoughts.

I am mainly concerned because I am also getting a Rosso Imola :)

I think it’s just representative of the Ferrari buying market worldwide. I bet if you looked at an aerial photo of any FOC meeting from the past 30 years, 90%of the cars would be some shade of red - probably Rosso Corsa. Is your concern that the market is flooded with Rosso Imola cars and therefore will spoil your resale value? Or is it that you just don’t want to be like everyone else?
I personally really like the dark green car at Joe Macari.

    Best regards.

I was mostly surprised because based on the pictures we see from spotters and on this forum, I actually thought that most of the cars were non-red (if that's a thing).
But then seeing that 100% of the ones up for resale are all Rosso Imola ... it's a bit weird.
To answer your question, this is the first time I decided to get a red Ferrari. I have had white, grey, black ... never red :) and it was my wife and kids that sort of told me that it's finally time to go for red. So i am not regretting the choice.

The car will be in Cyprus and not the UK. As far as I know there are only 4 allocations for Cyprus at the moment, mine being one of them. I know 3 of the other buyers and so far I have the only red one :)

Rosso Imola was in this case one of the 'launch' colors along with the Giallo Montecarlo. That is the reason you see so many in this shade of red. There is also a perception rightly or wrongly that a launch color or a simple black or red gets you an earlier build allocation instead of say Viola Hong Kong or an Atelier paint color. The Rosso Imola really is a very nice shade of red which seems to suit the 12 Cilindri and further adds to it's popularity. Enjoy your red Ferrari when it arrives!

I suspect that most if not all of these cars were the Press demo cars.

They are considered used and are sold at market.

Most of the press cars were heavily optioned with carbon fiber forged rims, Ti lug bolts, passenger display screens , etc.

Wonder what the new sticker prices were in comparison to the ask price now.

I priced the cars based on the spec plate shown in the photos and having access to the UK pricelist. They are not selling for below sticker. In 2 cases around sticker price. In the rest around 10K GBP above.
