I know it’s just an image and starting point for the next season but it’s funny you, who like me can’t stand betting focused sports, use a draftkings odds image to kick off this new thread.
Fair, but I don’t do any gambling except buying sports cards in wax packs, but I do think betting “smart money” gives the best indication, just like it did election.
Little Mitchie Marner signs 8 years for 12 million a season with Las Vegas G Knights. Never cared much for him as he exhibits Prima Donna symptoms. A very rich 28 year old, give him that.
Alex Pietrangalo "retires". Needs hip surgery and its unlikely he'll return at his age. The Golden Knights wish him well but it looks like his career has ended. For sure, in the last 3 months, he was not the same player we knew. It was obvious something was wrong.
What a Gentleman Alex was I had the pleasure of not only meeting him several times but also playing against he and the other Red Wings Alumni in charity hockey games. I can tell you that they all might be "retired" from the NHL, but still extremely capable of totally embarrassing an old, slow beer-league Defenseman. SO much fun! And then after the game we'd enjoy "afterglow" parties with them - sit around listening to them tell stories while all nursing a ginger ale. Anyway, here's an old style - as in prolly mid to late 1960's - Northland Pro Lam model 732C in Left 6 lie, corners sharp not like the rounded edges of today's hockey sticks. Got it signed not only by Alex, but also Mickey Redmond (#20), Larry Murphy (#55), and Joey Kocur (of the Bruise Brothers when teamed with Bob Probert, #26).
