I’m probably as easy going as they come. I don’t like drama and I don’t like arguing with people. I consider myself blessed to be in a position where I can pay a little extra in order to avoid conflict 99% of the time or simply walk away from situations that get combative. But this isn’t one of those situations and after patiently waiting, following up daily only to get the run around for 4 months, I had to threaten to have digital street teams I have relationships with bomb message boards and google reviews. 24 hours later I was told I’d have my check in the next 24 hours. Utterly insane
So what was the secret that got it to go through finally for you? These guys were giving the run around.
Hey F! I hope you got your deposit refund. What did the dealer say? How did it go down Stop by and pick up the check or just a bank wire ? Or refund to your Credit Card? My dealer tells me that it will be at least 10-12months for my build slot I am already not feeling excited about the design The Amalfi has the same interior and has a lot of the exterior design similarities I might cancel and buy something else
I completely agree on the design. First thing I said was the amalfi looks like a more basic version of the 12C for a fraction of the price. I don’t get it. I am sure the drive is amazing on the 12C. Many are adamant about how stepped up it is but for me it’s 812 all the way. No contest overall. Ferrari Rancho Mirage has just given me the run around for months. “I’m trying” and “we haven’t heard anything” was the only response I’ve gotten until I used threats which is such a Joke. I got a call from the manager that day and was told the check was being overnighted. 3 days later I’m still getting excuses so today I’m having the kids that work with me express their disdain online. I’ve bought 4 Ferraris in 18 months that some of my influencer clients use. I don’t care about their policy or excuses. Truthfully the second I asked for it back it should have been handled all things considered my purchase history the last 18. I’m sure there are many here with much longer history’s and many more cars in their stable but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s a horrible way to treat clients. PS- I don’t need the money whatsoever and I’m not remotely pressed for it. It’s the principal of the matter that I have to keep asking for months….plus I feel like if I don’t stay on it I’ll forget completely and never get it back
Sadly it sounds like this dealership has a strategy of ghosting They steal your cash and sell your allocation to the next buyer. What I dislike about the exterior design of the 12C spider is the tail black trim. It isn’t beautiful to me. An all black car mutes this design trim but that comes at the cost of the entire exterior color . Not sure why the design team is so strict about the spider design since the rear tail piece isn’t a strong design element. It seem like a way to match the spider to the coupe. Makes no sense to do that Make each model the best design.
The Amalfi uses the same interior design as the 12C and is the entry to the brand at a significantly lower price.
yeah I’ve never had to go through anything remotely like this with any car deposit I’ve ever put down. Usually refunded that day. This dealership is really suspect. Not 100% sure what the game is but there is def a game being played. They told me the check is now in Canada. I can’t even. Spread the word. These guys are a joke. re the amalfi, I’m not remotely suggesting it’s close to the 12C in anything other than design. Odd that they made the amalfi one tone and took this risk with their 12 cylinder which used to be their flagship.
