Appreciated OP! Thank you for the pics. As I stated in the Roma forum… I think the interior design and the return of the physical button is fantastic! However… My Roma and my wallet are safe for now! I will take the exterior design design of the Roma over the Amalfi, just judging from the pics. Image Unavailable, Please Login
And here I thought the Roma front end was ugly....so Ferrari went full "Hold my Beer" and made one even worse. And what is the rip off only going up 20 hp? I would say this is just a cash grab, but who is going to buy one.....this looks like a Taycan all over again with the only ones being sold are to make people buy a couple to get on a special car list. How can Maserati make beautiful cars (of course there are other reasons not to buy a Maserati) and Ferrari put out crap?
I can't find anything I like better in this new version except for the wheels. front and rear are significantly worse in my eyes, cabin is a disaster compared to the Roma. puzzling to say the least.
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLlUhpSIS_f/?igsh=MTVkeDhkbThnemtndA== There is hardly any difference to the Roma. They wasted a name on this one instead of just calling it Roma M
I agree that it still looks like a Roma from the side. There must be a reason they didn't call it RomaM, so will be interested to hear some theories.
It hurts to say as a lifelong Ferrari fan, but none of the current designs are designs i would consider buying if i was in the market, the 12cilindri is hideous, the F80 same issue, and now they gave the Roma a Toyota Prius frontend... Time to give the design department back to Pininfarina, they atleast knew how to design cars. Ferrari has only gone downhill design wise since Pininfarina left.
Marketing purposes. Easier to market and convince Roma owners to buy it, if you market it as an entirely new model, the Amalfi, rather than a Modificata version of the Roma
Palazzani who spent 7 years at Pininfarina led the development of the F80. Pininfarina of the past is not Pininfarina of the present. Doubt handing the design department back to them in 2025 would bring gems alike what they've drawn in the past.
Its quite beautiful, but we live in the age of Transformers styling. Whats funny is, I think Ferrari design has been in the gutter for awhile, and only has started to get better, with the cars most people hate, such as the Roma, 296 and Cillindri. Those are all good looking cars to me. So much better than the ugly F12/812
