Just found at that my OE cats have been gutted. Looking to replace with something that will pass CA smog - any suggestions? Car has Tubi cat-back.

I am about to find out. I have the Fabspeed on there and my smog is due. My OEs are plugged up and toast. I was hoping the Leno's law would pass and all us TR owners would now be exempt but some cr$5head politician added a provision that limited the exemption to cars with "historic plates" and has "collector car insurance" whatever that means. Cars with historic plates can only be driven to and from car shows and in parades. Of course, how will they actually enforce those limitations, but its irritating that they cant make just ONE damn thing easy for people with older cars in CA.

Tehcnically the Fabspeed will not pass the visual inspection as they do not have CARB cert stampings.

honestly visual has never been a problem in my experience. worst case scenario I hand the car to the shop that handles my RX7 - it passes smog and I don't ask questions ;-)
