I was going to remove the cover and get it powder coated since it isn't looking too sporty anymore. It is as simple as removing the cover or will have a project on my hand? Looks like there might be a gasket as well?

    What model do you have?
You just want to remove the red ... top?

If you mean part #4 on diagram below, no gasket and remove only 2 screws among the 4. The 2 other screws are going through the cover without holding it.

If you are talking about the red upper intake manifold, then yes, you will have a small project on your hands. You will need a Chapman set to get to all the screws without going through the access panel inside, There will be 2 gaskets that go in between the upper and lower intake manifold, also a gasket that that goes in between the upper manifold and compensation ducting...and to powdercoat you will also have to remove the flap assembly that will take a bit of skill to put back together correctly.

For a Spider it gets much more difficult to do,

360 Spider - the cover in the diagram #4. Is that easy to remove and reinstall?

That small #4 plate is quite easy to remove.

The number 1 intake plenum is much harder to remove, especially for the Spider.

is it hard to know which 2 screws are the right ones so I don't do the wrong ones? From the top they all look the same
