I remember the car! I must confess I spent a lot of time studying the photos you posted. Your car was a major inspiration for my eventual build.

Specced mine at the dealer today. Fell in love with the launch spec I saw in person so I opted for Verde Toscana, but swapped the interior to Cuoio.

When does your allocation get into production at the factory?

I agree that the standard silver rim has presence and looks impressive. Have not seen the optional rims in person but the pics make it look more monolithic.

If I were to order it, I would be quite tempted for the launch green too.

    jumpinjohn,

Don't feel bad. Just drove home from Indy Challenge today and stopped at my dealer, Lake Forest. My rep told me they have over 20 cars stuck in NJ for almost 2 months. They include several Roma spiders, their first 2 12 Cillindri's, as well as SF90XX's, and SP3's.

Looks like with the release of the new Ferrari Amalfi, TopGear stated in the Amalfi launch video that you can replace the capacitive touch steering wheel with one that has a physical start/stop button (like the good old days!) on any new car. I believe this includes the 12 cilindri.

    Can anyone else confirm this?

I saw this as well on a couple of the reviews. I have a 12C on order. Apparently the build has gone to the factory, but wondering if the steering wheel will be a dealer fit option as I'm definitely keen to have this done.

Yes it will be a dealer fit option, they don't replace the whole wheel, just the center of the wheel, and it's done at the dealer. Ferrari announced that yesterday as an option for the 296, Puro, and 12 Cilindri if the clients wanted the upgrades. No pricing was announced as of yet, but I'm guessing not cheap.

It would seem though that if a 12C has not begun production, that the factory should be only using the design of the new steering wheel.

Let's hope this is the case, I was just talking to my dealer about this very thing, wondering if my 12 Cilindri would arrive with the new wheel or not.

Oh that is welcome news. Especially since I got the leather wrapped with shift lights. I don’t even want to know what that would cost to replace. Yikes.
