Any pics of the other seats you had installed? And what seats your running now? Sent from my SM-G996U1 using Tapatalk
Here are some before and after pics of my car with the original Daytonas and the unobtanium factory carbon sport seats I bought off of eBay. I bought some leather dye and sorted the worn bolster and now they look top shelf. Last pic is a measurement with the end touching the roof. Factor in the size of the tape measure. I hated the way the seating position in the Daytonas was so much that I almost sold the car. The sport seats 100% changed my mind and feel in the car. Currently I’m running the Bride Vorga seats. Previously ran the Bride Euroster II’s. I’ve also had matching upholstered carbon Sparco SPXs….which were horrible when it came to height. I’ve sat in recaros in a F430, Daytonas, carbon buckets as well as the ones I’ve previously listed and bride seats on bride rails sit the absolute lowest. Here’s some pictures. Don’t mind the multi-tone interior going on, the car is currently getting every interior panel including dash, except the red seats, reupholstered in black alcantara Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login View attachment 3398281 View attachment 3398282 Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Here’s 4 more photos that show how low they sit that would attach to the previous post for some reason. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
For those look to install recaro seats with rails, you can do it by fabricating your own seat brackets for front part. Will require some metal PCs and drilling and bending. The rear of the brackets will bolt on to the floor with just a bigger hold and shaved bolts. Height is perfect! Don't need those stupid big seat brackets that raise you. An arm and a leg. $13k after taxes and shipping. But again, right color, right size, right stitching color…..it’s was a once in a lifetime opportunity for a car out of production for 18 years.
Surprised I haven't seen this thread Anyway, I have the SPX seats that were re-leathered I made my own bracket, they're almost the height of the electronic Daytonas with sliders on them They look amazing and are very comfortable Anyone has any questions, happy to answer The Planted brackets, same as Sparco 600 series, are WAY too high for the F430, I took them off and have them for sale on the classifieds section My complete write-up https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/sparco-aftermarket-seat-installation.674526/
Sorry I am late to this thread! I had bought those re-upholstered Ferrari Themed Sparco SPX seats, but I prefer the Recaro Sportster CS seats for added headroom! Quick run down: -Im 6'6/6'5ish basketball player frame, 215-220lbs with 34/33w -Obtained a pair of Recaro Sportster CS seats -Ordered re-upholstered skins from Recaro Max in Poland, installed skins myself -Standard Recaro Sportster sliders -For seat bases, I had my good friend who is a fabricator make custom mounts using 3/16" steel flat bar -I now have tons of head room and could fit with a helmet on if I ever end up tracking the car Went with beige in an all black car as I have always loved seeing black 360 stradales with beige seats Would be happy to help any other tall drivers with this project! Image Unavailable, Please Login I couldn’t find where anyone had actually compared the two types of seats in the 360, seating height wise. So, I finally measured the Sport Carbon seats from their lowest part to the roof to be able to compare with the same measurement taken the same way with my Daytonas. It came out to 37 inches to the Daytona’s 36 inches. It’s been awhile since I did the original measurement, so its possible that the actual difference is a little more than an inch but it’s very safe to say that it drops the seating position 1-1.5 inches. I’m a little surprised that that is all the drop really amounted to. It feels like a 2-3 inch drop in the car for sure, but facts are facts. I think it may not come down to how much lower the SC seats are, but just that the Daytonas are simply too high for some of us. If you start too high, it’s may just be a mind trick that a small drop can feel larger than it is if the starting point was uncomfortably high. YMMV depending on how tall you are or how long of a torso you have. (Water bottles were in the car for setting the ride height, shims, and alignment) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
New owner here, car will be delivered to me in 3 weeks time. Being 1.94m and 110kg the currwnt stock seats deffinately don't work for me. I will be looking at buying recaro spg xl (I have them in my M3) and go from there. Looks like plenty people have been able to fabricate their own brackets, which is something I will consider as well.
Just don’t get the Planted Technology mounts as they’re too high and defeat the purpose of the lower seat entirely…and then some. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey there guys, im looking into bucket seats in my 360 and notice noone ever mentions airbag sensors........has the 360 only got one in the seatbelt???
I just installed the Driver’s side Recaro Podium seat in my 360 using some of the tips in this thread. I’m hoping to get the passenger side finished today. I originally purchased the Planted brackets and Podium specific sliders, but as others experienced, they sit way too high (First photo). I ditched the Podium sliders for standard Recaro sliders and made two mounting brackets like others have with 1/4” steel plate. I drilled directly into the side mount for the seat belts. What an improvement! These seats feel great! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Which Bride seats are you referring to in this post? I went and sat in several Bride seats today in Torrence, CA and the only seat of theirs I fit in is the EurosterII Cruz. They don’t look like they will be as low as their other Bride model seats. Does anyone know if the EurosterII Cruz with Bride sliders sits lower that the factory seats?
The 360 Challenge seats will work well for tall drivers. I'm 6-6 and i have roughly 3" of space above my head. Pros: + original Ferrari + extremely lightweight + fantastic side support + lowest possible seat position (i suppose) + works well with 4pt or 6pt harness Cons: - hard to find (NLA) - if you are overweight or have limited agility/mobility, this seat is definitely not for you Image Unavailable, Please Login
