What float height is recommended to use on this today?
manual says 52mm but i have read some used down to 48mm.
is there someone here with real experience of tuning this?

Second question i have seen shim washer of 2mm behind acc cam #11, and seen carbs without the washer what is the tuning experience that works best on this engines?

i want to open a discussion here hoping for some experience before i start logging AFR

I use the factory recommended float height when I set up DCNF carbs.
My diagram shows there is no shim before the cam goes on the shaft. Adding one would change the base position of the pump arm. Don't recommend changing that. If I found a carb that had slack in the arm, I would add a shim but not as a rule.

So no one that made changes on float level considering today’s different fuel?

I see that shims on photos of what looks like old original carbs.

Why not change the jets? For a diyer it's much easier to get consistent results.
