2 thumbs up for the interior changes but the exterior looks unfinished. Something is missing in the rear quarter fender and the front as many have said looks like a Tesla. I think Aston Martin nailed it with the latest Vantage - looks more aggressive and overall complete.

Absolutely new front end is either generic Chinese or AI design. Including front spoiler that looks like it's sticking out its tongue

They should not have changed the front end, the headlights looked like big beautiful eyes. The rear could have used a cleanup including proper round tail lights. Ferrari needs to stop caring if any design que is carried from one model to the other. They are not Toyota or GM. And the Aston Martin is even more generic, trying to copy the Zagato on all their cars.

On the Ferrari, bringing buttons back is a great move.

Great that they brought back physical buttons but like the old front better.

Not sure why they changed the name when it's only minor changes...

I think it's criminal what they've done, i just can't believe that the team that designed a masterpiece like the Roma would destroy it in such a way..lazy, lazy job. Roma was perfect (apart from interior)..they just needed to strap the new interior on the old car an voila, perfection! The f80 is a total failure in terms of design, but i could almost forgive it because it's a car that needs to perform almost like a hypercar, but this?? if there is a car where you have no excuses to mess up the design it's a gt....what a disgrace!

Ferrari needs to bring back Pininfarina!!!!!

The Aston is a good car just a lousy transmission. It should have a dual clutch.

I do like the new interior. Roma was too busy.

It looks like an updated (but not necessarily improved) Roma from the outside.

Overall, not keen on the exterior, the front splitter/spoiler is just odd & don't like the general move away from round tail lights anyway. The interior is better though.

I saw a review that the head of design does not like cars to have a "face" - as a result they look a bit bland to me.

Glad to see its not a hybrid and they haven't gone silly with the power either. You'd have to bet on the next one having the V6 though.

They aimed for 1960s Italian chic and hit the 2025 12 Cilindri. Frankly the Amalfi looks better than the 12C- I like it but the drivetrain is 10-15 years behind in output. Yes I know it’s the “entry” GT- but it’s a Ferrari and like the 296 is 90% of the SF90 in performance so should the Amalfi be 90% of the 12C in performance IMHO.

Pininfarina is now an Indian owned company, very unlikely that Ferrari would let them anywhere near their design department for mainstream models. In the old days they knew and trusted each other profoundly.

At best, Ferrari might give them some one-off commissions when their own studio is maxed out.

Very sadly, the days of Pininfarina and Ferrari collaborating are long gone.

As a Roma owner, I agree with most of what has been said. The Amalfi is a step in the wrong director for Ferrari design. I hate to say it but it looks like it was designed by a committee. It really does have an EV-feel, even the wheels, whereas the Roma harkens back to the elegance of the Ferrari classique days circa 1950s. I don't see the Amalfi standing out from the crowd of what is already here and what is to come. The only real surprise it will provide is the roar on start-up as most people will assume it is electric!

  13. Roma and Almafi are both too feminine.

The Almafi needs more Vantage and less estrogen.

This is interesting indeed! Could you kindly elaborate a bit more? I think many will agree about the buttons and the interior, but let us know about the other reasons why you’d rather have the Amalfi than the Roma. Thank you

Current Portofino (and long time Aston) owner here. I thought the exterior of Roma was gorgeous, but its interior was hideous. I think Amalfi’s interior is a massive improvement over Roma’s (especially by adding a physical Start button) but, at least from the photos, its exterior is several steps back. That said, while I’d have to see it in person, there is a zero chance I’d get rid of my Portofino for it.

People always criticize the latest model; however, I suspect Ferrari got some lukewarm comments about the front grille of the Roma, so they decided to wipe it out. The new front design may not seem very inspired, but it was probably chosen as an answer.

    Austin looks like a crossover.
Ferrari looks like a shooting brake which I love.

Well every panels are new so it's not that a minor change... Remember when they added the M to the Portofino, it was just a new gearbox and an extra Manetino position. You have to agree they did far more with the Amalfi.

After seeing the car 'in the flesh" in Maranello, I would say that Amalfi seems much more modern and up-to-date than Roma, which I have always found a bit outdated, but it also seems heavier, particularly due to the absence of a number plate on the rear panel (it was lowered into the diffusor) which now looks like a large chunk of metal.
But in reality, it doesn't change that much; both have pretty much the same atmosphere. However, the interior has been modernised significantly, and since that's where you spend most of your time, I would definitely give the Amalfi the edge.
Now I'm very curious to see what improvements they've made to the handling, because I've always found the Roma a bit strange, whereas I loved driving the Portofino M. We'll find out next year...

First, let me say, I’m not a good design analyst. The front grill of the Roma was always unfortunate looking to me. As much fun as people are making of the “tongue”, IMO, it is an improvement. It appears that the rear haunches are a bit more aggressive. Hard to tell from pictures. All that being said, I just find it nicer looking to me. Bear in mind, that we kept our Portofino M and probably will pass on this model. Full disclosure, we have a 12C in port, so I don’t find that one repulsive either! :)

I am undecided, the front of the new car is not very pleasing to me in pictures and the back has F type styling. Why Ferrari insist on launching in these strange colors!
