Hey guys, quick question. Ive posted about this before when I had a VERY loud rattling behind my ear in my new to me 2020 F8. It turns out it was a broken seatbelt retractor. Sounded like a bag of pennies shaking it was so bad. So we replaced that, and it's MUCH quieter now. But, with that said, theres still this constant rattling from what I think is coming from the engine bay right about at 2500 rpm. It's worse in low gears and lower speeds, but happens in gear 1-5. I know you cant figure out what it is really over a post, but I more just wanna get a feel for how normal or abnormal it is? Do all F8s have a quiet rattling at 2500rpm? do I just get used to it? or is It abnormal? Fun pic from a photoshoot for reference :)

Bad ass pictures!!! My F8 did have a bit of a rattle coming from the engine bay, similar to what you described, but it didn't bother me as it felt more like the lexan window was shaking. Sorry it's hard to tell with these rattles as each car may have different issues...

Interesting. I may take the cover off and see if that’s it. It’s kinda driving me nuts even though it’s not that loud. It just happens in basically the most common rpm location when just cruising around

Mine does not rattle at all but after I turn it off, I have a fairly loud steady 'whining' noise that last anywhere from 30-60 seconds and then dissipates. I gave it to Ferrari and they had it 7 weeks trying to find it but eventually gave up and said it's normal as they found the same noise on two other F8's... sounds like either a pump releasing pressure or an electrical relay of some sort.. If any other F8 owners park in a quiet place, like inside their garage, take a listen for it. Would love to know if anyone else hears it.

anyway, sorry I got off your topic but about your noise, I would start with the screws on all the engine covers including the firewall piece. It's most likely something as simple as that. Also, the center lock piece (that has the Ferrari plaque on it) has an odd design on how it attaches. There are two rubber grommets on the underside and if one is missing, it may shake and rattle a little. Good luck.

My 2021 F8 is rattle free. Seeing your photo's looks like aftermarket springs and wheels. Possibly something in the rear suspension is not tight. Id have the car nut and bolted by a professional to look for the rattle. With out riding in the car none of us will know.

No rattles in mine (2020 also), however I get a slight whistling noise coming from the front at low RPMs, can’t pin point it yet.

They are novitech springs and vossen wheels yes. Nut and bolted? lol. not sure who would do that. I may take the entire engine bonnet and all the plastic covers off this weekend and drive it around to see if it's any of those. it's so damn annoying.

Underrated color combination with the black roof and yellow calipers on the white body. Looks fantastic

What I meant was...have a shop that does is experienced in prepping cars for track events go over the nuts and bolts on the suspension among other things to make sure nothing came lose from the springs install. Your shop that did the springs should have marked each nut and bolt with a paint marker on the suspension after install and alignment then you can eye ball and see what might have come loose.

Your car should be rattle free. I did Novi's on my 488 and no rattles at all for the 10,000 miles I owned it.

It's definitely not suspension. So what ive found over past few days is its metallic, and happens more in lower gears, and is the worst first thing in the morning when the engine is cold. It's much louder with the windows down so it's not from the cabin. It almost sounds like metallic heat shielding vibrating but all the heat shields felt pretty tight when I checked last night.

Also its MUCH worse when rolling vs just sitting in garage idling at 2500RPM

Lol first thing I checked. its really pretty damn loud its gotta be something significant rattling in there. must be a heat shield or piece of metal that is loose. this is like the 3rd rattle ive had to hunt down

I think I may have figured it out. This piece is pretty loose. Any idea how I can make it more stable? It’s metal heat shielding. It’s honestly kinda loose on both sides.

Wtf even is this piece of metal. I don’t see it on any pics on google and ChatGPT says it’s the turbo heat shielding? It doesn’t even seem like it belongs on the car
