Owner's manual says 13 liters, but I would put in 10 initially and then add oil until it reads between min and max marks. Overfilling can cause lots of problems.

Some just-in-case info…the 612 has 2 oil filters and it is 1.5 liters from min to max on the dipstick and remember you must check the oil with the engine running and the oil at operating temperature due to the dry sump design of the engine.

I have done several oil (+ filters) change on my 612. I normally refill with 8 quarts of oil and then run the engine until it is up to temperature. Then I add small amounts of oil until the level checks good on the dipstick with engine running and the car on a flat surface. I generally use 9.5 to 10 quarts total. As others have said, you do not want to overfill the engine.

Nick- That is a pretty low amount. Even my 575 takes 12 quarts.

Yeah, I thought so too, but I follow the WSM procedure exactly and carefully check the quantity during the procedure. I can't recall it ever taking more than 10 qts to reach the 'full' mark on the dipstick. My last oil change was about 3 weeks ago. I will drive the car today and check the level to see if it needs to be topped off. Oil pressure and temp are always rock-solid and right in the normal ranges.

Nick- Every one of them seems to be different for some reason. Main reason why you want to sneak up in filling her.
