For two days, I had a chance to drive a 1997 F355 6-speed with Tubi exhaust muffler and standard headers + bypass valve. What a glorious machine! The deep throated scream when the valve opens, the whaling of the engine at 7,500 rpm (with 1,000 more to go), the bubbling of the exhaust note while letting up on the throttle, all of it amplified inside a tunnel from I-92 connecting to I-280 ahead of a Tesla who could not produce any sound to save its life.

The only downside is I found myself driving like a jerk just to hear that F1 sound again. Life is not complete until you drive a Spider 355 with Tubi exhaust inside a tunnel, with the top down.

    :)

That's my favorite tunnel. Was literally just there last Sunday, not the glorious F129 w/ Tubi - just a lowly F119 w/ Nouvalari.
